March 19th<\/sup> saw Lotus Healing Seva Group (Kenya) teach Reiki Level 1 to 28 men and women, and girls \u00a0from the Hawkers Market Girl\u2019s Centre. These girls come from the slums of Nairobi. They are admitted into the centre for a year where they learn various skills like the basics of computing, hygiene, cooking, yoga and Reiki.<\/p>\n

Last year 2011, the girls were taught Reiki level 1 in February and then Reiki Level 2 in May. These girls have passed out of the centre. In January this year, 21 new girls were admitted. So on March 19th<\/sup> 2012, The Lotus Healing Seva Group held a Reiki level 1 workshop for them and for others from different levels of society.<\/p>\n

The event started at 9 am and finished at 4 pm. All were given mid morning refreshments and a sumptuous lunch.<\/p>\n

As is usual in our Reiki workshops, all went away with the wonderful healing power in their hands and confident of how to heal themselves and others! All of them showed interest in learning the second level in June!<\/p>\n

This brings to 17, the number of Reiki camps Lotus Healing Seva Group (Kenya) has held over the last five and a half years!<\/p>\n

The members who took part in this seva were: Punita, Mamta, Anuradha, Lata, Dee, Shalini and Kamal<\/p>\n
