I have borrowed this expression in the world of Reiki! On 19th March, 2015, Lotus Healing Seva (Kenya) Group completed this Hat Trick by conducting three Reiki camps (two Level 1 camps and one Level 2 camp) simultaneously!

On Thursday 19th March, at around 9.30 am, 12 enthusiastic Lotus Healing Seva (Kenya) Group members arrived at the Mukuru Outreach Centre in the Mukuru Slums of Nairobi, to conduct 3 Reiki camps simultaneously! We were received by our LHSG Mukuru member Josephine the manager of the centre, the teachers, and 107 participants, all eager and excited at what they were going to learn today! All were ready and waiting in the library room of the centre.

Of these, twenty one young boys and girls of about 12 – 13 years, who had completed Reiki 1 last year, were taken up to the tailoring room above the library. These young Reiki healers were taken to the next Level of Reiki 2 by Mamta. They learned the symbols of Reiki, did self healing, and were taught how to ‘send’ Reiki to people, situations and relationships, and to write intentions in a Reiki box. Mamta was assisted by Bubbles and Neena.

The remaining 86 people were a mix of 41 adults and 45 children. They had come to take their first step into the Healing world of Reiki! Kamal introduced them to the History of Reiki, and taught them the chakras positions. Then they were split. The adults continued sitting in the library, while the children were taken to the spacious Baby Day Care room. Attunements for both groups came next, followed by self healing and healing others.

In the adults Reiki camp, Kamal was assisted by Shariffa, Anuradha and Bhanu, and in the children’s Reiki camp Kamal was assisted by Nalina, Yatinder and Sarita.

Cooky, our all rounder, was everywhere, all day, capturing pictures, and lending a hand where needed.

In the afternoon, we were joined very briefly by Honourable Sam Nyangwara, a member of the Nairobi City County Assembly for Mukuru and his counterpart Honourable David from Kibera.

At the end, all 107 people were brought back into the library room, explained about the Five Principles of Reiki and the need for healing oneself every day. Then experiences were shared by a few of the new healers.

Finally, Gratitude was expressed all round, and Goodbyes said.

And so it came to pass, that Lotus Healing Seva (Kenya) Group accomplished its first Hat Trick in the world of Reiki Healing Seva!

Our sincere thanks to Josephine and all the teachers at the Mukuru outreach Centre as well as the teachers from the surrounding schools who allowed their children to come and who came themselves for the Reiki training.

Please do read the comments and write ups of some of the members and do watch the 4 groups of pictures below.

Kamal Tolia.

Reiki Level 2

Mamta …..

Kamalji thank you for another beautiful sewa opportunity!

It was an amazing experience! I conducted a Reiki level 2 class for the first time! There were 19 children and 2 adults. They were very receptive and enthusiastic to learn the magic of sending Reiki from far! We (bubbles, neena n me) were so amazed when they learnt the symbols so quickly!

Every time they closed their eyes and started sending Reiki to people who needed healing -they looked like little angels!

They were very excited when they were making their Reiki boxes! When we told them to write and ask for what ever they want -their eyes looked so dreamy! Their expression was like-is it possible? And then they just went on and on writing their wishes happily for a long time! It really touched my heart !

Reiki Level 1 Adults

Shariffa……

Kamalji’s early and perfect planning bore perfect results.

We all assembled on time. All the children were assembled. Step by step the group learnt about universal energy. The attitude of gratitude was heart felt.

As the group focused and appreciated what Reiki was about,we could feel the energy change.

Everyone at Mukuru was disciplined and receptive, they were so happy to receive new knowledge.

As they gave Reiki, they were generous and patient.

Once again it was a seva that was unconditional and sincere.

The lunch was delicious too.

We were honoured by the presence of Honourable Sam Nyangwara, a member of the Nairobi City County Assembly and his counterpart David from Kibera.

It is good to see the area developing inspite of the very poor infrastructure. The community unity rises above the lack of sewage, water and power.

We all live on hope.

Reiki Level 1 Adults

Anuradha ….

It was altogether a very unique experience.
