Mikao Usui Sensei, the founder of Reiki<\/strong> was born on 15th<\/sup> August 1865. Every year, members of Lotus Healing Seva Group<\/strong> celebrate his birth by meeting online, doing distant seva healing followed by a gratitude program.<\/p>\n

This year was no different, as LHSG members from across USA, UK, Germany, UAE, India, Indonesia, Australia, Tanzania and Kenya<\/strong> got together to give their gratitude to Master Usui for giving us the gift of Reiki.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the weekly order of healing was done, our Kenya member Enock Nyananga,<\/strong> Headteacher<\/strong> of Mukuru Outreach Academy<\/strong> gave a short report on how our more than 90 \u2018Reiki\u2019 children were doing with Reiki, as well as the trees planted the Reiki way. He was followed by our India Member Vikram Narain<\/strong> who in turn gave a report on how our Hindu refugee children were doing with Reiki and the trees planted the Reiki way in the Adarsh Nagar Hindu Refugee Camp in Delhi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next, Our LHSG UK group<\/strong> took the floor. LHSG UK in charge Bena Shah<\/strong> was the master of ceremonies of the program, which consisted of<\/p>\n

  1. Bhanu Shah and Mona Joshi e<\/strong>xpounding on the 5 principles of Reiki<\/strong> and how we can apply them in our everyday life<\/li>\n
  2. Bharti Nandy<\/strong> sharing how we honour Master Usui<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Indira Shukla<\/strong> throwing light on the life of Master Usui<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Mala Tolia<\/strong> reading out a beautiful Japanese Haiku poem<\/strong> as well as an English poem on Master Usui and Reiki<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. The finale came with Kumud Shirley Morton’s<\/strong> sweet obeisance<\/strong> Aarti to Master Usui in Gujarati,<\/strong> the wordings of which were put together by Jashu Shah<\/strong> and translated by Bena Shah.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      <\/ol>\n

      And finally, another Aarti of gratitude<\/strong> followed, by me, Kamal Tolia<\/strong>, in English, with some Sanskrit \/ Hindi and a bit of Japanese.<\/strong><\/p>\n
