Seva No 3. Healing Special Children and their Mums and Sisters., 26 Nov. 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday 26th<\/sup> November 2011, the LHSG Kenya Saturday, Thursday and Youth Groups gathered in Sandeep\u2019s house for the second Seva in the celebratory month of November. And what Seva was that? To give Hands on Reiki healing to mentally and \/ or physically challenged youngsters and their Mums and sisters.<\/p>\n

The visitors arrived at about 3.30 pm. Kamal Tolia introduced the Lotus Healing Seva Group and its activities, and Ela Shah, the wonderful lady who runs the day care for these children in her house, introduced herself and the others. One of the children, Janak, had just had his birthday the day before, and wanted everybody to sing for him, so we all sang \u2018Happy Birthday\u2019.<\/p>\n

Chairs were arranged in a circle in Sandeep\u2019s lovely, picturesque front yard. After the children and their mums were seated, Lotus Healing Seva Group members went to work in pairs. Some gave Reiki to the children, while others gave healing to the mums and sisters. All took a lot of healing, the children even commenting on how hot the practitioner\u2019s hands felt. Even the Mums said they felt sooooo good and relaxed after the treatment.<\/p>\n

Tea and tasty snacks prepared by Sandeep and Clara were served after the treatment. The children had brought chocolates of different flavours which they had made themselves! They shared them with everybody. The chocolates were delicious, and enjoyed by all!<\/p>\n

We felt very privileged to be healing these special children, and very humbled to be chosen for this task. So moved were we by this experience, that we wanted to repeat the healing for them on Saturdays and also teach them Reiki so they could heal themselves too. The visitors welcomed these ideas enthusiastically. These plans will be effected in January next year. In the meantime, we have placed them in our healing lists, so they will receive healing every week.<\/p>\n

Tejal, Fhanreet, Hardeep, Daksha, Shobhna, Dipti, Shamim, Hita, Ushma, Amita, Sandeep, Clara, Kamlesh, Raj, Nalina, Harleen, Bhavik, Aleena, Simran, and Kamal were the sevaks for this event. Ela Shah and some of the the LHSG members express their feelings here.<\/p>\n

Ela \u2026. Dear Kamal Tolia and the Lotus Healing Seva Group,<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

On behalf of my special children and their mothers, I would very much like to say a big thank you to all the Saturday group for having us and specially Mrs. Sandeep Bhambra who hosted the session at her place and for the lovely tea\u2026.. To us you were like an angel, sent by God above, to cleanse our soul of sadness and\u00a0stress and fill it with love and relaxation. You were our inspiration and we thank you all for showing us the way to better natural healing abilities\u2026.. Your caring concern and the love you showed us, the whole world I would tell, what your friendship, and\u00a0love means to us. Taking time\u00a0to help us was a very nice thing to do. I know that you are people who sacrifice for others without thinking. Thank you\u2026.\u00a0I, Ela Shah would like to share\u00a0how the first Reiki session helped my two daughters, Anishee and Hirashi that day. They\u00a0both have disturbed sleep normally but that night they both went to sleep early and they slept throughout till next day 11am. In fact they\u00a0had to be\u00a0woken up from their deep sleep. It was like after a very long long time they had a\u00a0peaceful sleep.\u00a0It was really amazing\u2026. Rekha, mother of Sarit had also this to say: Both she and her son Sarit had a very peaceful sleep that night, \u2026something they had not experienced for a long, long time! \u2026\u2026 <\/em>Words can’t express the gratitude I feel when I think about what you all have done.\u00a0I will say thanks for the support and concern and thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us. It has helped us immensely\u00a0and the spark in us. Thank you<\/em><\/p>\n

Sandeep \u2026. Happiness always looks small if you hold it in your hands,
\nbut when you learn to share it, you will realize how big and precious it is.
\n<\/em>We are grateful that our home was chosen to give healing to those special kids.<\/em><\/p>\n

Raj \u2026. The gift of doing sewa on the special youngsters was a great bonus. These youngsters were so receptive to Reiki and actually were happy at the end. You could see that some of them were asking for more Reiki on certain parts of their bodies. There was nothing but love flowing from their eyes and how easily they accepted us and called us a family\u2026\u2026 I certainly felt very blessed that we were fortunate enough to do this great sewa.<\/em><\/p>\n

Shobhna \u2026.<\/em> \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>I \u00a0 think\u00a0 it\u00a0 was\u00a0 a\u00a0 wonderful\u00a0 opportunity and a very touching\u00a0\u00a0experience\u00a0 \u00a0 to\u00a0 offer\u00a0 seva\u00a0 on\u00a0 Saturday\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 mentally\u00a0 and\u00a0 physically\u00a0 challenged\u00a0 children\u00a0 who\u00a0 had\u00a0 come\u00a0 with\u00a0 their\u00a0 mothers. I\u00a0 salute\u00a0 the\u00a0 mothers\u00a0 who\u00a0 are\u00a0 doing\u00a0 so\u00a0 much\u00a0 for\u00a0 these children\u00a0 round\u00a0 the\u00a0 clock. It\u00a0 was\u00a0 a\u00a0 continuous\u00a0 flow\u00a0 of\u00a0 energy\u00a0of \u00a0love\u00a0 and\u00a0 light \u00a0going\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 Children. I\u00a0 was\u00a0 very\u00a0 happy\u00a0 to\u00a0 offer\u00a0 seva\u00a0 to\u00a0 them\u00a0 and\u00a0 was\u00a0 most\u00a0 impressed\u00a0\u00a0by\u00a0 Janak (one\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 children in\u00a0 that\u00a0 group) who\u00a0 said\u00a0 his\u00a0 prayers before\u00a0 starting\u00a0 to\u00a0 have\u00a0 his\u00a0 snack\u00a0 given\u00a0 to\u00a0 him\u00a0 by\u00a0his mum.\u00a0Janak\u00a0 also\u00a0 invited\u00a0 myself\u00a0 and\u00a0 Tejal\u00a0 to\u00a0 go\u00a0 to\u00a0 the yacht\u00a0 club\u00a0 for\u00a0 his\u00a0 birthday\u00a0 party\u00a0 and\u00a0 he\u00a0 insisted\u00a0 we\u00a0 are\u00a0 all\u00a0 a\u00a0 family. I\u00a0 feel\u00a0 he\u00a0 must\u00a0 have\u00a0 sensed\u00a0 the\u00a0 love\u00a0 we\u00a0 showed\u00a0\u00a0him.\u00a0God\u00a0 bless\u00a0 them\u00a0 all.\u00a0I\u00a0 feel\u00a0 we\u00a0 should\u00a0 offer\u00a0 seva\u00a0 of\u00a0 reiki\u00a0 to\u00a0 them\u00a0 on\u00a0 regular\u00a0 basis.<\/em><\/p>\n

Hardeep \u2026. It touches ones heart when one sees these children and how beautiful and innocent they are\u2026..<\/em>It was an eye opener for me and made me realize that we should constantly thank God instead of complaining about irrelevant things..<\/em><\/p>\n

Dipti Haria \u2026.. the Saturday Seva was a very gratifying and humbling experience.\u00a0\u00a0There is no better feeling than knowing we have made a positive impact on\u00a0 these very special children s’ lives.\u00a0 We should continue helping these wonderful children and giving them Reiki on a continuous basis. <\/em><\/p>\n

Hita \u2026\u2026 <\/em>I was so pleased that I was given an opportunity to do seva on 26th November. I felt so good and energetic after the seva. It was a special connection with those kids like a family.<\/em>
