Lotus Healing Seva Group continues Seva …..

May 7th 2014, saw the LHSG Nairobi group go once again to the Aga Khan Primary School to teach Reiki to the girls of the Hawkers Market Girls Centre. Twelve girls had come to learn Reiki Level 2 and three girls had come to learn Reiki level 1. They were joined by Mr. Karim Jessani, an elderly patron of HMGC.

The LHSG Sevaks were Shariffa, Mamta, Pratima, Nalina and Kamal. As in the past, the Reiki camp went very well, with the eager learners absorbing the concepts of Reiki sincerely and applying them effectively.

We also shared with them a break of juice and cakes and a lunch of a vegetable burger and a samosa which they simply loved!

This brings to 813, the number of people attuned to Reiki level 1, and 1137 the number of people attuned to all levels of Reiki by LHSG Kenya, and we haven’t stopped counting ……

Little Hands Doing Seva ……

Seven children who had been recently attuned to  Reiki Level 1 and Reiki level 2 gave up a Wednesday morning of their school holidays to give Reiki to cancer patients at the Faraja Cancer Support Centre in Nairobi. They were joined by mums LHSG Kenya – Rashmeen, Sheela, Baiju, and Shalini LHSG Kenya and our UAE member Ameet Dighe.

The pictures say it all …… note the seriousness with which they stood with their eyes closed, channeling Reiki to the chakras …..

This only goes to prove …….. You are never too young to start doing Reiki Seva!

Do read the experiences of some of them during this seva ….

1. Keirav Shah, age 12yrs, Reiki Level 1

This is my feedback on the Healing we did at the cancer place.

It was very intense at first but after the first person was done I wasnt as worried for the last 2 people that I did Reiki on. My hands felt a mixture of feelings first they felt warm then tingly than back to warm. But in all i had a great experience doing Reiki and I would love to do it again.

2. Veer Tulyani, Age 9 years, Reiki level 2

On April 16, 2014 I went to Faraza cancer care to give reiki to the patients. Some other children were also with me. We first gave reiki to Sunil uncle. My hands were getting very hot. I felt very nice because I had never given reiki to someone in hospital before who is in lot of pain. Reiki makes me feel thankful that I can help others and I shall continue giving reiki in future.

3. Anay Vora, Age 9 years, Reiki Level 1

On Wednesday 16th April I went to Fharaja cancer centre, at M P Shah hospital. My Reiki teacher Kamal Tolia was there too.

Before we started we took pictures with everyone. My first patient was called Priscilla. She had a joint problem and cancer on her tongue. My second patient was called Helen. She had a liver spread. My last patient was called Victoria. She had a stomach problem.

I felt sorry about them, but happy to give them Reiki. When I gave them Reiki I felt hot.

LHSG OUTDOES ITSELF!

Can we really outdo ourself? Yes, and we did! On 24th March, we held two Reiki camps simultaneously! A Reiki Level 1 and a Reiki Level 2 at the Mukuru Outreach Community place in the Mukuru slums of Nairobi!

Fifteen young girls and 2 teachers that had done Reiki Level 1 in November last year came for the Level 2 camp,

and 35 young boys and girls and 4 teachers came for Level 1.

All were ready and waiting with the manager of the Mukuru Outreach Project Josephine when we arrived at 9.30 am. After a quick introduction of the LHSG members, they were divided into 2 rooms for the 2 camps. Mamta conducted the Level 1 camp and Kamal did the Level 2 camp

Reiki Level 1

Here is Mamta’s report …..

Our Lotus Healing Seva Group camp in Mukuru on the 24th of March was a great success. We had very enthusiastic children between the age group of 10-12yrs waiting for us with their 4 equally enthusiastic teachers. They all were so ready to become healers. This was the first time that we had 2 classes running side by side. Kamalji took 15 children upstairs for reiki level 2 assisted by Lata and Pratima. We had 35 children and 4 teachers downstairs for Reiki 1. Nalina, Baiju, Balvinder, Shalini, Sheila and Ivy were with me for Reiki 1.

The children and their teachers were very excited. The attunement went very well. While doing self healing their hands were really hot and we were so proud of our little powerful healers! After self healing they said they were feeling so relaxed and happy that they felt like flying!!

They were very happy and grateful for the gift of Reiki and the lunch we took for them. The certificates took their joy to another level! !

I thank God for these beautiful sewa opportunities! For a chance to make a difference and touch people’s lives and help empower them with this beautiful gift of Reiki!

Love n light!

Reiki Level 2.

And my report ….

I was helped by Lata and Pratima

The 15 young girls aged 12 – 13 years were beautiful young souls who had lovely experiences to share reference Reiki in their life. Said one of them ‘my grandmother had a headache … I told her don’t waste your time going to the hospital (doctor), don’t …. waste your money going to the hospital … let me give you Reiki. I gave her Reiki and her headache was gone …..’

They were smart girls too, memorized the symbols in just a few minutes! The attunement went very well and in no time they were healing themselves perfectly!

After a tasty lunch of a vegetable burger and samosa, they settled down to learning the art and science of sending distant healing, healing intentions and group healing.

At 3.30 it was time for LHSG to leave. We left them with some biscuits and milk packets which each child took with him / her on their way home.

And so it is that once again Lotus Healing Seva Group fulfilled its pledge of uplifting the poorest of the poor by empowering them with Reiki and of spreading the knowledge of Reiki. May the Universe continue to support us in our mission.

LHSG Crosses The 1000 Mark!

The Kenya Lotus Healing Seva Group has reason to smile yet again! On 22nd February 2014, we crossed the 1000 mark in terms of the number of people we have trained in Reiki (all Levels)!

 Picture this:

Venue: Kanaani Secondary School in Athi River, just outside of Nairbobi, with Mt. Lukenya in the background …..

Scene: 118 Form 2 and Form 3 boys and girls (approx.16 year olds) and 4 teachers and the Headmistress eagerly waiting to take their first step in the Healing field!

11 Lotus Healing Seva Group sevaks all ready and excited to share the gift of Reiki……

4 gracious ladies from the Amara Charitable Trust ready to introduce us………

This was the perfect mix for the emergence of a wonder filled day! Even though this was our 31st Reiki camp, we marveled once again at the joy and happiness on the faces of the lovely children and teachers as they experienced the healing power of Reiki in their hands. By the end of the day, they came to realize that health was truly in their own hands!

The day began with the introduction of Reiki and its principles, followed by the attunement and self healing in the morning, then continued to healing others in the afternoon. The camp was punctuated with a mid morning break during which everybody enjoyed juice and biscuits, and a lunch of a vegetable burger and samosa and water at lunch time.

Before we closed, experiences were shared, and questions answered. After impressing upon them the importance of self healing, and to share their gift of Reiki with others by healing them, we bid them goodbye, with a promise to be back to take them to the next level of Reiki when they were ready.

We know that the Universe always gives us what we wish for. LHSG sends out a continuous wish to do Reiki seva, and the Universe complies. It grants us our wish through people like the Amara Charitable Trust www.amaratrust.com . Our sincere gratitude to Manisha and the ladies of the Amara Charitable Trust who made it possible for us to conduct the Reiki camp at the school, which caters to the children from the slums of Athi River town.

So we say with pride and joy, now, that this was our 31st Reiki camp in Kenya and we have attuned 1067 people to various levels of Reiki!

Please read the experiences, thoughts and feelings of some of our members below ….. Kamal Tolia

My gratitude to the Amara Charitable Trust for giving us The Lotus Healing Sewa Group such a beautiful opportunity to attune and teach level 1 Reiki to the students of form two and three at Kanaani Secondary school on Saturday 22 February 2014.

The children were all receptive to “reiki”, something which they had not even heard of. Accepting this “universal energy force” with open arms was an absolute delight.

It was a gratifying experience as there were 4 teachers and the headmistress who also got attuned. The day progressed very well according to our schedule.

One thing that I found interesting was the children were all inquisitive to know MORE about Reiki towards the end of the day and the questions were just non-stop till we left. It seems LHSG are going to be at this school in a few months for Reiki level 2.

Love and light

Punita.

What a well spent Saturday.

Going out into the periderm of Nairobi

To a school that was able to give us a clean, quiet space over looking Mt. Lukenya.

118 hundred students and 5 teachers participating.

We know so many schools but to have so many keen students, ready to learn. They were smart, clean, receptive, disciplined and willing.

If the teachers do a half hour Reiki session every day, surely this will be the best way to raise the awareness of the school, staff, students and their families., for their highest good.

At the end of the day, I received so much energy, I felt cleansed and empowered …..

Shariffa.

On Sat 22nd Feb a large group of us went out to Kanaani Secondary school in Athi River to give a Reiki workshop and attune the students and some teachers. This is a new school built by the Amara Trust who build schools in rural areas and then hand them over to the Government to be run. It was a pleasant surprise to arrive at the school which is set in very spacious grounds under the shadow of Mt Lukenya.

We were joined by Manisha, Bansi, Smita and Diana from the Amara Trust.

There were many students waiting when we arrived and Kamal gave them all an introductory talk on Reiki. They were then divided into 2 groups to be attuned and to learn how to do Reiki on themselves. We had a short lunch break and then they did a session on treating each other. Some of the boys found this very amusing. On the whole it was a worthwhile experience and Diana from the Amara Trust felt wonderful and said the painful chest she had come with was completely healed. She was very excited and positive about her day.
