Reiki Seva Oshwal Centre UK

The LHSG (UK) was invited by The Oshwal (UK) committee to do Seva of giving Reiki to the public on their annual ‘Kite Flying’ mela (festival).

The day dawned bright and clear, thank God, (weather is very important in Britain!) assuring us of good numbers on that day. Bina, (Leader of LHSG UK)), Neha, Indu, Bharti, Hansamasi, Manojbhai, and Kamal set up their Reiki room, put up the LHSG banner at the entrance, and waited excitedly for people to walk into their healing chamber.

Nothing happened for a while. People seemed more interested (understandably) in flying their kites and enjoying the fresh air and good weather on the grounds.

But then Indu had a brilliant idea. She, Neha and Bharti went out on the grounds and personally started talking to the people about Reiki and inviting them for the free healing. And that did it! They came in a steady stream after that! All willingly paid the fee of UK pd 3 (some gave even more than that), and went away feeling relaxed, some of them even pain free!

From 10 am to 4 pm, the Group did this Seva. By the end of the day we had treated more than 50 people!

Kudos to Hansaben who despite her 75 years continued healing one client after another, stopping only for half an hour for lunch!

Thanks to Dipen Shah, Treasurer, Oshwal Committee UK, who made this event for LHSG possible.

The 200 pounds collected were used to buy sacks of Sugar and Rice to feed the poor (more than 900) that come to the Jalaram Temple in Nairobi every day. On behalf of the UK group, the Kenya Group helped in serving the poor on Thursday 16th Sept. 2010.

Forgiveness Workshop London

A lovely church hall in Harrow was the venue for the workshop on Forgiveness held by Kamal Tolia. Although it started at 7 pm and went on till 10 pm on a working day, it was well attended. The more than 40 people audience was truly committed to learn how to forgive, and in the process grow personally.

As in all workshops conducted by Kamal, they were divided into groups at the beginning and given questions to answer. Then each group presented their answers. They came up with wonderful examples of what not forgiving can do to our health and happiness, including the analogy of keeping a potato with us even after it was rotten through and through!

The exercise for forgiving was done sincerely by all, some having a cleansing emotional release. At the end, they were asked to do a mass consciousness release (forgiveness) exercise for various hurt people in our society eg. Abused, abandoned, raped women and children, soldiers traumatized by war, etc. On behalf of such victimized sections of society, they released the hurt, the shame, the fear, and other negative emotions and so did their bit to help heal humanity.

Vets Visit

It was all fur and paws, licking and tail wagging, barking and mewing as one after the other, a dog or a cat was handed to the children for healing. The action was taking place at a veterinary clinic in Nairobi.

Lotus Healing Seva Youth Group members were warmly received at the clinic on Tuesday 13th July. After the vet had treated  each animal, it was given to the eagerly awaiting children for hands on healing. As one child held the animal, another (sometimes two children) gave it healing.

The conditions treated by the youth group were: dogs that had been hit by a car and who had cuts and bruises all over, heart problems, chest infection, a broken front leg, throat infection, deep rooted claw infection, worms, and diarrhea.  In all, 7 dogs and 1 cat were given Reiki.

Needless to say the youth group loved every minute of this experience! They couldn’t get enough of cuddling the animals, petting them and playing with them! They made an instant decision to return once a week on a rota system to the clinic to heal the animals.

The youth that took part in this seva were: Pranav, Bhavik, Simran, Karishma, Anoushka and Ashvi.

Youth Group news – July 2010

Reiki Project by Kunali Gohil 16 years, Reiki 3A Master

Healee (person on whom healing was done)
Sunita Aunty Shah

Problem
Bad constant backache
Cannot sleep lying down, has to sleep in a sitting position
Cannot bend
Had given up on everything because of her back and thought it was the end of her life (negative thoughts)

Experiences while healing
The whole month of April 2010, I sent her healing everyday and the Reiki kept flowing for about 20 – 30 mins. As I would do the distant healing, my hand would shake so much and a lot of energy flowed.
During the month I also sometimes did hands on healing on her for about 3 sessions and during these times the energy would flow for about 45 mins, only on her back! She said she really enjoyed it and that she felt good.

The Results
Sunita Aunty is my friends aunt. On 3rd May, my friend told me that her aunt was feeling much better, and that I could stop sending her Reiki. I was so happy, I started jumping for joy. But I did not know exactly how Reiki had helped her aunt.
So on 7th May, I called up Sunita Aunty to ask how Reiki had helped her. She told me that her pain had reduced so much, she could now sleep flat on her back, and she could bend. She said it took long (I guess because of her negativity) but it had made a big difference!
Then I told her to be more positive and that I would send still send her Reiki until the pain went away completely.

She was very happy and grateful, but I guess I was more happy than she was!!!

Reiki Project by Simran Lakhani 10 years, Reiki 3A Master

Healee (person on whom healing was done)
Dimple Lakhani (my Mum)

Problem
Alopaecia and mental stressWhen you have alopaecia your hair starts falling a lot. I sent my mum Reiki for 4 weeks. Her falling hair became much less and she felt much better. Her stress has reduced a lot and she feels so light! All thanks to Reiki.

The Youth Group Heals Pluto!

5th June 2010

Pluto, a daschund was brought to our Youth Group meeting by his owner Mamta Advani for healing for a middle ear infection.

The poor dog had been suffering for many months. He could not even open his mouth properly due to the pain!

But Pluto had come to the right place!
The children simply loved giving him hands on healing! They just couldn’t get enough of patting him, playing with him, and giving Reiki to him! So many loving hands all over his body! And Pluto played up to them all, lying still while receiving Reiki, jumping up for ‘treats’ etc.

Truly, Pluto was the star of the day!
