Kamal Tolia & Lotus Healing Seva Group

The Lotus Healing Seva Group, UK had a fabulous day on Saturday 5th September, carrying out Reiki level 1 course for 64 very enthusiastic students. The ages ranged from a 7 month foetus to 19 year old twins and the oldest would-be healer aged 78! 

Fifty five of the students were people who attended the Sangam centre in Edgware, a lot of whom had had treatments from us on the day we had visited the centre in June this year and were obviously converted!!   RESULT!!!!!!!!

The chief organisers at the Sangam centre for the attendance were Surendrabhai and Ushaben whose input meant seamless coordination on Dipakbala’s part. 

The event took place at a newly re-furbished church hall in Harrow which made it quite central for people to commute to. The venue had large arch shaped windows and a very high ceiling so you can imagine how beautiful the energy and ambience was all the way through!

To facilitate the event, the volunteers from LHSG (UK) present were Jan, Surbhi, Bhartiben, Savita, Lekha, Neha, Anita and Mala with Dipakbala running the show.

The entire day ran very smoothly with some wonderful comments noted by attendees in the comments book, quite a few requests for the next level dates and finish at 4.30 pm.

The Sangam centre group collectively donated £305 towards Charity, which was gratefully accepted by LHSG (UK).

All in all, a very successful day!!!

Dear Friends of Kenya,

Thank you very much for taking part in our 3rd 24 hour Healing and Prayer Chain for our beloved country Kenya. The Lotus Healing Seva Group was overwhelmed with the tremendous support we received from all of you.

More than 200 people took part. This time the temples and mosques prayer groups did not join us, as the evening hour of worship had been cancelled due to security reasons. Even so, we covered the 24 hours adequately. Some sent healing / said prayers for 5 minutes, others for 10, 15, or 30 minutes, while others prayed for 1 hour or more. Some prayed all night in their Church! The times between 6 am to 12 midnight were more popular than those between midnight and 6 am. The most populated time was 6 am to 7 pm with 23 people praying, followed by 9 pm to 10 pm with 18 people praying. The least populated time was 1 am to 2 am with only 4 people holding the baton during that time!

As in the past, we were joined by Mercy Musomi, CEO of Girl Child Network. She actually dedicated the whole of Friday 24th to this cause! A few young children deserve special mention: Ashvi 10 years, Brij 13 years, Anoushka 9 years, Karishma 13 years Harleen Gokaldas, 13 years who in spite of being on school vacation, contributed upto one and a half hours of their time to this project! Well done!

We are very grateful too, to International Evangelists Ted and Jean Ward, of the Kingdom Glory Fire Ministries, Australia, for their wonderful support. Ted and Jean are here in Kenya in July. They have been including the 24 hour Chain intentions in all their prayer meetings since 17th July!

Our heart felt gratitude goes out to all our friends and family that live abroad, who supported us in Kenya for a Kenyan cause! These generous souls put aside their own personal problems and those affecting them in their home countries to pray for us in Kenya! Many will be the blessings they will receive for this selfless act!

And have our efforts been effective? Has the security situation changed? Have our intentions been received by God / the Universe and been acted upon? We believe in our hearts that it is so. This has been substantiated in the reports from security companies, which say that the situation was ‘relatively quiet’ from 14th July. As for the other intentions, we hope that they too will be fulfilled in divine timing.

So what happens now? Do we think we have done our bit by contributing a few minutes, an hour or two on Fridays? I hope not. We, the Lotus Healing Seva Group request that you continue praying for these intentions whenever you can, every day if possible. If we all do this and encourage others to do the same, we will create a huge wave of positivity in Kenya which cannot be stopped by negativity in all its disguises. This is how we can show our Love for Kenya and her people. In return, Kenya will Love us back!

The Lotus Healing Seva Group has been requested to include intentions of a global nature in our healings / prayers Chains. Consequently, our next 24 hour Healing / Prayer Chain in the 4th week of November will have intentions that focus on Kenyan and World issues. We hope you will find it in your heart to join us.

The LHSG (UK) held its first FREE Reiki camp on 14th June 2009, in the Sindhi Centre in Harrow!

Although more than hundred people had registered, 51 came on the day, the drop in number being due, no doubt, to the heavy thunderstorm and rain the night before and on the morning itself.

The teaching and attunement was done by Kamal Tolia. And as expected, (no surprise here), all were overwhelmed with the power of Reiki, during the attunement, during the self healing, and during the partner healing. And they could not get over how simple yet effective the technique was …… just lay your hands and let Reiki do the rest!!!

The group members Bina Shah (Leader), Mala Tolia, Neha Mamtora, Anita Shah, Surbhi Shah, Mona Joshi, Bharti Nandy, Bijan Popat, Anantbala Whitfield, and Savita Karekar, and Raakhee Shah (volunteer) once again, felt blessed to be able to do this Seva work for the community.

As usual, donations were collected for charity.

Reiki Camp London 14062009

On 26th May 2009, The Lotus Healing Seva Group UK started its First Seva activity by giving FREE Reiki to the ladies of the Elderly Womens’ Harrow Group. First a talk was given on Reiki by Bina Shah in Gujarati, to the more than 160 women gathered in the hall, followed by Kamal Tolia speaking in Hindi about the activities of the LHSG. Then five chairs were placed in the front, and the women queued to receive Reiki from the LHSG UK members Bina Shah (Leader), Surbhi Shah, Anita Shah and Neha Mamtora and from Kamal Tolia. The benefits were realized by many almost immediately. But the ladies were many. All could not be attended to individually within the time allowed. So with only 15 minutes left, the Group members decided to send distance group healing to all the ladies in the hall.

The Second Seva activity was done on 4th June 2009 for the 150 -160 elderly men and women of the Navjivan Vadil Kendra in Edgeware. 10 group members took part: Bina Shah (Leader), Mala Tolia, Neha Mamtora, Anita Shah, Surbhi Shah, Mona Joshi, Bharti Nandy, Bijan Popat,  Savita Karekar and Kamal Tolia. Once again after an introduction of the beautiful healing energy of Reiki and the Seva activities of the LHSG, 10 chairs were placed in front of the hall and the LHSG members got to work right away. The afflictions were many and varied ….. stroke victims, heel spurs, depression, asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, backaches, paralysis, insomnia, skin conditions, cancer, etc. The results in most cases were nothing short of dramatic! One lady, a stroke victim,  who had little strength in her hand before, could quite firmly hold a glass of water in that hand without her hand shaking at all! Another felt pain free In his back for the first time in months … ! One with heel spurs was walking around pain free! And a depressed lady came up to say how much lifted in spirits she felt. So moved were they by the healing power of Reiki, that they all lined up to relate their experience over the mike!  

Truly, we had been blessed by many Reiki miracles on that day !

Money was donated freely for charity by the grateful ladies and men in both groups.
