On Sunday 18th November 2024, I conducted a Reiki level 2 on a donation basis. I got 300 AED (10602 Kenya shillings) which I shall be using for charity.

This was a seva towards our LHSGs 19th Anniversary. I had 3 ladies who came to our home. We started at 11.30 am and ended around 4.45 pm.

It was a good experience and they all liked it too. I feel very good whenever I teach Reiki to people because I have an opportunity to add new healers.

There is an exercise in level 2 to do healing to dead people for the soul to go with light or for us to not grieve further. One of the lady’s dad passed on in 2022. She wished to do healing to him. When she mentioned about him, immediately I felt heavy in the room. I got up n lighted sage leaves. They started the healing.

I felt someone came n sat on the chair which was near the window. I stood opposite of that and did healing. I felt a man looking at this lady lovingly. Then i felt he wanted to hug his daughter and then I felt some light go off from the window.

After all finished healing to their respective people, I told this lady about what I felt. Then i asked her to stand up and hugged her and asked her to see if she felt like her dad used to hug. She held me for 5 secs and then cried for some time. She continued to hug me for 2 mins. I asked her what she felt and she said she felt her father hugging her.

Later I did sage smudging in the room and on myself to lighten up the room and to continue the class.

Reiki – The journey within

Reiki, the word was always fascinating for me specially to know how did it work or what was the science behind. Not until the day when I myself learnt and knew it from within, it definitely became a part of my life. Over the years the stress and anxiety that had overburdened is a long gone thing. I feel relaxed and at peace. No doubt Reiki has become a part of my life helping me overcome my fears and find positivity in life. I am extremely thankful to Kirti ji for being my master, to God for showing me the right path and to everyone else who made my Reiki journey a successful one, knowingly or unknowingly. I am highly obliged for teaching me this wonderful healing process. Thank you.

Susmita Guru,

Reiki Level 2 Healer.

LHSG 19th Anniversary Events Seva No. 8

A Reiki Level 1 training camp was held for 7 adults and older children of the Jaisalmer (India) Hindu Refugee camp. It was conducted online over 2 sessions of 2.5 hours each on 7th and 8th November 2024. Both sessions were held in a small room inside the teacher Ranjharam’s House.

The first session was done at 5 pm India time. Introduction to Reiki, attunement and self-healing. But halfway through the self-healing, since there was no electricity, it became too dark to continue inside the house. So they had to take the laptop out in the open verandah. Even so, within a half hour, night descended on them, and they still had to do the eyes, ears, temples and places on the body where Reiki was required. So I simply explained all that and we called it a day!

The next day, they did partner healing. All went well. Then I explained about Reiki being not only for humans, but also for animals, trees, drinking water, medicines, as well. They gave collective Reiki to a small pot of drinking water (it took a lot of Reiki!) and then drank a little of it. Each of them said it tasted sweeter! They were also explained to give Reiki to the water and then water their trees that they had planted a few weeks ago.

They loved the whole training, had already noticed the benefits yesterday: slept well, and aches and pains gone! And as soon as we finished the class, they went off to give Reiki to a few cows nearby!

And so it is that 7 Hindu Refugees in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India, joined the ranks of world Reiki healers!

But, this is just the beginning: I plan to conduct more Reiki trainings for the more than 40 adults and children that are in that Refugee camp in the coming weeks! And then extend it to more refugee camps in Rajasthan!

Thank you dear subscribers for your support!

On 16 October 2024, we successfully conducted a Ho’oponopono workshop at Faraja Cancer Support with 23 attendees. This seva conducted by myself Monica Gokaldas and Pratima Dutt was part of our ongoing Anniversary Sevas.

The people were quite receptive and being an interactive lot they asked several questions. We had a mix of cancer patients, cancer survivors, care givers and volunteers of Faraja amongst our attendees. Our Reiki Level 2 healers Abhilasha Taq and Shila Shah also participated in the workshop.

Some people were on time at 10am sharp whilst others trickled in gradually. I took advantage of that and spoke about Reiki healing that we do at Faraja. Some participants were keen on learning reiki so we took down their names.

Pratima conducted some parts of the workshop as well when I took a break to write the certificates.

It was a fruitful seva as everyone felt gratitude at learning to let go.

Sr. Teresa came all the way from Machakos to attend the workshop. She somehow reached late but was able to grasp it well. She was curious about Reiki so I gave her a little sample of healing on her shoulder after the event. She said she felt a wave of energy filling her entire body and more so on her heart and was thrilled with the experience. She wants to learn Reiki.

Marjory shared her thoughts about practicing Reiki. I remembered having taught her reiki at Faraja so asked her if she’s been practicing. She thoroughly loved today’s workshop and said she feels so much lighter today.

Abhilasha shared her reiki experience. She’s very recently learnt her level 2 with Mamta and look how beautifully she’s applying it .

My gratitude for this opportunity for teaching this wonderful forgiveness technique.

It was a successful event with 21 people attending. The sevaks were : LHSG Members Laveena Keswani, Prafulla Ji Ganatra, Pratima Dutt, Shariffa Keshavjee and myself, Monica Gokaldas, and our Reiki level 2 healers Shila   Abhilasha Tak.

From the 21 people only 4 knew and had had previous experience of Reiki and the rest had no clue about what Reiki meant or did. To my surprise and pleasure the 4 who knew about Reiki knew it because of LHSG and Kamal Ji and I too know them personally.

Everyone had excellent feedback though we were all busy taking out pictures or videos to record that. However, Abhilasha sprung into action at some point and clicked videos. Thank you Abhilasha.

Some of them showed keenness to learn Reiki and the Gymkhana management said they would organize for a training session and notify us.

The arrangements were done well by the club and they served freshly made refreshments (bhajias, spring rolls and chai) for everyone.

Pratima played the role of registrations, taking in healing requests, names of people interested in learning as well giving healing. Each of us were busy till 11.45 pm and then had refreshments as I interacted with those who wanted to speak to me.

My big gratitude to Prafulla Ji for the concept of this event, to Kamal ji for passing over this task to me, to Nairobi Gymkhana for organizing, to Pratima, Shariffa, Shila, Laveena and Abhilasha for all their support and time.

Love and Light
