Mother’s Day Seva at Sai Centre

Mother’s day is a big celebration all over the world where mothers are felicitated variously. We at LHSG celebrated the day, May 13, 2018 quite in contrast by expressing our Motherly Care and healing for many in the morning hours of the bright and sunny Sunday. We gathered at the Sri Sathya Sai Centre, Nairobi and whilst setting up the Multi Purpose Hall to our requirement, we were pleasantly greeted by interested healees much before our scheduled time.

Nalina started off giving Reiki to Sujatha Kotamraju, the Vice Chairlady of the organization at 10.30am and there was no moment of pause following that. We were getting interested people pouring in gradually as Kamal guided us to our positions. This event conceptualized by Sujatha and myself, Monica was finally bearing fruits as we started getting positive feedback from the recipients such as a flexible movement instead of numbness of a toe, headache disappearing, pain released and easy movement coming in an elbow, backache and shoulder ache gone, feeling light headed etc.

I was particularly happy at giving reiki to the local Kenyan children and how some of them kept chanting “Om Sai Ram” whilst receiving reiki. These children had no questions but understood very well about the healing energies of Reiki and were amazed at the results. Amongst the Indian crowd too we had some people who were very new to reiki and were overjoyed at the benefits.

The sevaks for this seva were Kamal Tolia, Nalina Rupani, Sheela Shah, Punita Acharya, Pratima Dutt, Anuradha Nath, Vaishali Patel, Dhwani Haria and I Monica Gokaldas. We gave reiki to 38 children and adults and I personally gave reiki to 7 of them. I felt very grateful to have the opportunity of doing this seva.

Mother’s day seva at Sai Centre yesterday couldn’t have gone any better. We had ladies, gentlemen and youngsters who came in good numbers through out the period we were there. It was wonderful to be of help to give healing to one lady that I did who was emotionally very down due to a close relative passing away the previous day. She said she saw purple light when I was healing her crown chakra and a light blue light when I was healing her throat chakra. Not surprising as these are the corresponding colours for these chakras. She said she felt a lot better after the healing and promised to heal herself regularly as she had done all 4 Reiki levels awhile ago. It was also wonderful to give Reiki to the youngsters who had come. They easily dozed off during the healing but were all energised after the session. We finished on time by 1pm. It was gratifying to start off Mother’s day with this lovely seva. ????????

LHSG Kenya has been training cancer patients, their care givers, therapists and volunteers at the Faraja Cancer Support Centre in Reiki Level 1 and 2 every year for the past 3 years. This year, Sheela Shah conducted the Reiki Level 1 camp, assisted by Anuradha Nath and Shariffa Keshavji.

With Reiki in their lives, the cancer journey is made a little easier for the cancer afflicted and their near and dear ones.

In this way, Lotus Healing Seva Group continues its Seva of alleviating the suffering of one and all.

Reiki 1 Camp Faraja

Today the Reiki I camp at Faraja was absolutely brilliant. It was attended by 17 participants with Shariffaji, Anuradha and I. We started by 9.30am, getting straight into what Reiki is all about. The questions were numerous but welcoming for this brought about good understanding of Reiki. Attunement was peaceful and uneventful followed by self-healing which was done well. We broke off for a 20 minutes break and resumed for the second half. Partner healing was carried out enthusiastically. By now everyone could feel the amazing flow of Reiki energy in their hands. The group worked cohesively and it was lovely to witness their joy in healing. Everyone expressed great interest to learn Reiki II very soon.

My gratitude to Shariffaji and Anuradha for their valuable help and support and also to our Lotus family for all the Reiki sent our way today. Immense gratitude to Faraja and team and Reiki for making this camp possible and successful.

Gratitude to Faraja , Sheela, Anuradha for a successfully conducted Reiki camp.

Sheela. …. was clear, concise, focused and most of all patient ….. Patient with tardiness, silence, talkers…… Answering all questions , dissipating doubt.

The energy was high. Everyone received. Then gave too.

As the morning advanced so did the mood, the friendship and camaraderie. Every one was relaxed and energised.

The LHSG Kenya group carried out a Reiki Level 1 Camp at Sathya Sai School in Uthiru, Nairobi on Apil 4^th 2018. It was conducted by Mamta Advani, assisted by Neena Gupta.

Reiki 1 camp on 4th of April at Satya Sai School went very well. We had 25 students and 2 teachers. All of them were ready and waiting for us as we arrived. In the beginning they were a bit shy but soon became interactive. It was humbling to see their sincerity. They did well in the self-healing and partner healing.

They enjoyed the snacks and lunch sponsored by Lotus Healing Seva group.

Neena was very efficient and helpful throughout the camp and we had a very gratifying day!

Mamta was a super teacher, she included little breathing exercises warm up session after the break, as it was extremely cold out there and also while explaining the five principles she gave them very important life lessons. Overall a very gratifying and learning experience!
