The Lotus Healing Seva Group Kenya once again held a Seva event. The programme started at 10 am with Kamal Tolia presenting a Talk on Reiki and its benefits for all, those who are sick and those who are not.
Each member of the The Lotus Healing Seva Youth Group had been given a pair of plants of the same species, at the same stage of growth. For three months, one plant was given Reiki and watered with water charged with Reiki, while the other plant (the control) was not given Reiki and watered only with ordinary water. After three months, the results were there for all to see: the plants given Reiki and watered with Reiki water had grown bigger, had larger leaves or had more flowers, and in all cases, were definitely stronger and healthier showing that plants respond to the Life force of Reiki. The point here was that if the Life force of Reiki made living plants healthy, the same Life force of Reiki will make us living beings healthy. The Youth Group members proudly displayed their projects and answered questions from the audience about their experiments.
Next the LHSG members and the Youth members spread out into ‘the healing stations’ arranged by the Faraja Cancer Support staff and gave one on one hands on Free Reiki treatments to all who wanted to experience Reiki.
By 3.30pm, 45 people had been treated with Reiki. The effects reported by them were: more relaxed, pain gone, happier, stress gone ……. Etc.
Throughout the day, the activities of The Lotus Healing Seva Groups worldwide were displayed on the wall through an over head projector. People saw the Seva work done by our members ….. healing at the old peoples’ home in Nairobi, Healing patients in hospitals, Free Reiki Level 1 camps in Kenya, UK, UAE, giving Reiki to babies in orphanages, and to sick animals ………..
All members who participated in this seva felt great peace within themselves after doing this selfless service. We felt good at having spread the word of Reiki once again.
