Seva No. 20
Lotus Healing Seva Kenya Group was requested by a senior member of the Arya Samaj Community, Kamal Thakkar, to come to their senior members morning meeting, and give Reiki to the elderly members. We were elated to know this, because it meant we could do what was close to our heart: share our love and light with all!
With the permission of the convenor of the senior members weekly get together, Anita Oberoi, this seva happened on 20th October 2026. Eight Kenya members, Pratima Parihar, Abhilasha Tak, Bhavna Baga, Sonal Patel, Pallavi Aanand, Dena Suthar, Monica Gokaldas and I, Kamal Tolia gave Hands on Reiki to 18 people, including the CEO of Arya Samaj Community, Ms Rina Varma.
They welcomed us and Reiki, had very positive effects, aches and pains gone, feeling calmer, happier. They shared their feedback in English / Hindi. One gentleman, very happily started walking without the support of the walker he had been using for years! They all expressed their gratitude, especially for the loving touch we gave them! And they blessed us!
What followed was a request for us to do this seva every week! Which we have happily obliged!
