Our 38th Reiki Camp!

On February 5th 2015, Mamta of Lotus Healing Seva Group (Kenya) conducted LHSG’s 38th Reiki camp!! Well Done Mamta!

For the 5th year running, we attuned the girls of the Hawkers Market Girls Centre. The Centre receives about 20 girls every year. They receive basic training in computers, cookery, tailoring, and other skills as well as training in Reiki from Lotus Healing Seva Group.

To date, the number of people LHSG has trained in Reiki in Kenya, UK, UAE and India is 1466!

Here is Mamta’s report:

Lotus Healing Sewa group conducted Reiki level I class for Hawkers Market Girls Center on 5th February. We had 22 students eagerly wanting to be healers. They listened attentively to the meaning and history of Reiki. After learning the principles of Reiki  they lay down for the attunement.

They shared their experiences and then we had a short break for juice and biscuits.

After the break was the time to experience the magical Reiki from their hands and heal themselves. It was a beautiful feeling to see them do self healing with so much patience and devotion. They felt so relaxed that they lay down for some time after the healing.

Then we had a lunch break and they enjoyed the burgers and samosas we had taken for them.

Lunch was followed by partner Reiki and they learnt how to heal others.

They were very happy and danced and sang in gratitude for us after we finished. The volunteers were Anuradha, Cooky, Neena, Sumiti and  myself.

I am very grateful- to the universe for this beautiful Sewa opportunity and to Kamalji for her guidance, faith and encouragement for conducting the camp! Thank you!

Starting the year 2015 with Seva and a Book Launch!

The year 2015 started for LHSG Kenya with a special opportunity to bring Reiki to the masses. Under the aegis of The Sindhi Welfare Society, we held a stall for three days, January 30, 31 and February 1 at a Hindu Council Expo. in Nairobi, Kenya. The exhibition was held at the Oshwal Centre.

Our purpose was to spread the knowledge of Reiki by offering Free Reiki Healing to the visitors at the fair. At the same time, we were selling my Book ‘Soul Reflections’. The book was launched on the afternoon of 31st January, with the kind help from Rekha Kochar of the Hindu Council Women’s Wing.

The Sevaks who helped out during these three days were Lata, Mamta, Pratima, Punita, Anuradha, Sheela, Cooky, Sumiti, Grace, Dee, Priya and myself.

While the sale of the book was going on at a steady pace, we were busy offering  20 mins Free Reiki Mini treatments to the people. Most of them had never heard of Reiki. But all felt wonderful after the healing session.

Some of their comments: feel rested …. Wonderful feelings and lots of energy, thanks to all of you …. Felt good and got good energy … feel enlighetened! ….feels nice and better …. A good relaxing method … its good, everyone should try it … very warm hands, a deep deep feeling of relaxation … a new technique which was very very relaxing …. Opportunity to explore the other side of life …. Bliss!! It works! ….feel refreshed and rejuvenated ….. makes the bosy feel energized but relaxed …. Enjoyed the experience and would like to learn the technique …. Relieved me from the pains in my heel and shoulder, lots of energy …. Felt energy flowing …excellent, feel good already ! ….

Altogether, we gave Reiki to more than 40 people! There was a steady stream of them throughout the 3 days. We often had 2 or 3 Reiki treatments going on at the same time, much to the curiosity of the passersby! Once, there were 4 of us with our hands full, giving Reiki to four people. We were all engrossed ….. After a few minutes, when I looked up, I saw we had an audience!! ……. The passersby (about 20!!) had stopped to watch what was going on in our stall…….. And they all wanted to experience the energy … so although it was time to wind up everything, we took on a few more …..

And so it is that Lotus Healing Seva Group Kenya started the New Year with doing what they know best ….. Reiki Seva.

My gratitude to the universe for supporting us once again in our Life Purpose of doing Seva and for the opportunity to launch and sell  my Book ‘Soul Reflections’.

Kamal Tolia Gives A Radio Talk on Hot 96

I was asked by Cynthia Ogano, Host of the Drive show on the Radio station Hot 96 to talk on Forgiveness and Ho’oponopono.

The talk happened in two parts a few weeks apart. In the first part, I spoke about the importance of Asking for Forgiveness AND Forgiveness and Letting Go. In the second part I explained the meaning of the Hawaiin word Ho’oponopono and its use to connect with the Divinity within ourselves.

9th Anniversary Celebrations …… New Healers and New Groups!

Some of us celebrated our 9th Anniversary in a novel way. We decided to share our Love and Light by training others in Reiki, as a Seva, completely free of charge:

  1. During the months of October and November, Arpita and Manisha of LHSG India, Kolkatta, gave this training to 6 elderly residents of St. Joseph’s Home and one friend. Now, the elderly people can heal themselves of all their medical problems!
  2.  In the month of November,  Raj of LHSG Australia, Perth,  did the same for 5 ladies in Perth.

Then, more good news …. In the month of November, two new groups were born …. One in Mumbai with 11 people and one in Australia with 7 people! The persons behind this initiative were Kirti and Kamini in Mumbai and Raj in Perth!

Here are their stories and pictures ….

Arpita and Manisha ….

  1. Uncle Imanuel Lee is 82 years old and he is here in this old age home for last 3 years.. from last year 2013 we have started giving healing to uncle Lee as he has problem of vericos vein and had terrible pain in his legs. in november 2013 he had a stroke.. after that he was unable to move as the lower portion of his body is completely paralyzed.. after continuous healing in weekly sava now he is able to move his leg little bit and he can lift his lower body a little.. on 30th october 2014 manisha and me have given reiki level 1 attunement to uncle lee… after that for the first time he could feel heat in his own hand and he was very happy.. as a part of cleansing after attunement he has a bloated feeling in his stomach but with time all were fine.. now he’s following every little steps everyday as we have guided him.
  1. Edward Gomes in St.Joshef Old age home. He is 77 years old and is been here in this home for last 6 years..from last year 2013 we have started giving healing to him as he had a complaint of dizziness, headache and a burning sensetation in both side of his stomach..with healing he has started feeling better..in august 2014 he was severely ill and need to be hospitalized..We brought medicines for him…after this incident we saw a big change in him..He has started looking for us and has developed a faith that he will be fine if we give healing to him..So we asked him whether he would like to feel this magical healing power within himself..He agreed promptly..then we have made him understand the prana or energy, chakra and five principals of Reiki and gave him attunement..Then show him how to do self healing and guided him thoroughly in his self healing. He has followed every step and has very happy to feel the heat in his hand. 
  1. Lata Lee(66yrs),
  2. Ms. Lily Sarkar (67yrs) and
  3. Mr. Pelomina Das (67yrs).

All of them are in this home for last 3 yrs. Mrs Lata Lee is wife of Mr Emanuel Lee whom we gave attunrment 3 wks ago. She is very active in home and work whole day according to clock.. Ms. Lily Sarker was in our healing list from the beginning…she was suffering from hallucination..now much better..Mr.Pelomina Das has acute knee pain. and uric acid problem..i gave them attunement.

  1. Marshal uncle came – gave him attunement of level 1 – Marshal uncle – has been reciving healing from day one we entrd dis ORG . Last 4 months he was suffering from non stop fever – on doing all tests It showed nothin ! His leg pus has now been compltly healed . I am glad he took attunement as he truly needs it , I hope reiki helps him to turn from negativity to only looking at positive side of life . He did feel energy n heat while giving healing to him self.

7. Today 11th Nov. I have gave Reiki level 1 attunement to Ms. Alpana Kumar, whom we met at orphanage 2 months back.. She lives in Kolkata from 1978 with her elder sister’s family, she is unmarried and spend her life to bring up her nephew and niece..now she is associated with the orphanage. .I gave her attunement of Reiki level 1..and taught her self healing and gave knowledge of chakras and nadis..and also the five principles of Reiki..at last she told me that “i should have give you gurudakhsina in exchange but I have nothing other than love..”..i  did namasker  and said its my seva on behalf of LHSG..
