Seva No 53

26th March 2025

LHSG Kenya Members Karima Jiwa, Shariffa Keshavjee, Deepu Mahajan, and I Kamal Tolia had a unique opportunity to give Reiki to the voiceless ones. Shruti Chohan, rescues animals that have been abandoned, abused or neglected, and gives them love and physical and emotional healing in her home. It is to her house that we went to do our seva.

It was an out of the world seva! In the 2 hours we were there, we gave Reiki to 5 cats, 1 dog, 2 turtles, 2 love birds and 2 african grey parrots. All these animals had been requested distant healing for by our India member Nisha Jikadara. It was so fulfilling to give them Reiki at close range.

We also gave hands on healing to Shruti. I have renamed Shrutis Home as Shruti Chohan’s Animal Rescue Centre!

Please read on for our reports and please fo watch the video that follows.

Bhanuben and I, Bena went to give healing to Rekhaben who lives in warden housing. She has a lot of health issues which became worse after her visit to india a few weeks ago when she caught pneumonia and was in icu for 21 days. She was very emotional and traumatized. She was overwhelmed when I rang her and offered her hands on healing. She was very generous with her donation to the group as energy exchange. We will be going again next week.

Bhanuben also gave healing to Indira Virani. She is also living in warden housing. She has no sensation below her knees and has balance issues.

Faraja Reiki Level 1 training camp.

Date : 27/03/25

Place : Faraja Cancer Support Centre

Volunteers: LHSG Kenya members Monica, Pratima, Shariffa.

We had a Reiki Level 1 Training camp at Faraja where 15 people benefited from the training.

Most people were punctual in arriving and we started talking about Reiki as we waited for a few others to reach. The entire lot was a brilliant group with keen interest in Reiki and they had beautiful experiences following the attunement and the actual Reiki practice. They had interesting questions as well and that interactive atmosphere kept everyone engaged till the end.

One of the learners had come all the way from Machakos as I had promised to invite her for this camp during her attendance at last year’s Ho’oponopono workshop at Faraja.

Pratima was quite helpful with guiding them through the Reiki hand positions and also spoke about the Five Principles of Reiki. Shariffa handled the registration, guided people on and off, answered questions and clicked pictures. My gratitude to both of them for all their support.

Faraja were very organized and served a nice light lunch of sandwiches and bananas along with Tea. LHSG sponsored Haandvo ( savory cake) which is popular with Faraja staff as well.

Nearly everyone expressed interest in learning level 2 and Ho’oponopono so Pratima very kindly noted down their names.

My immense gratitude at being able to conduct this camp as part of my seva towards our 20th anniversary.

Love and Light

Lotus Healing Seva Group 20 years of Reiki Seva: Part 10

Seva No. 50!!

On 22nd March, Kenya Members Pratima, Bhavna, Anuradha, Fhanreet and I went to an old people’s home called ‘Ashram’ in Nairobi.

All six residents were men. Some have been there for many years. Most of them were non-communicative. A couple were even, unknowingly, verbally aggressive. But their settling down as the healing continued, was palpable.

We also gave Reiki to the senior resident ‘caretaker of sorts’ Ombatti, who is elderly herself,  the cook cum-manager Nutan, and the cleaner Charles Ndeti. When we had finished, a regular donor came, i asked him if he would like Reiki, he said yes, so we gave him Reiki as well!

Cakes, dhokla and kheer were donated to them

The rest of the report comes in pictures and videos.

Seva No. 51!!

28th March 2025. Across the Indian Ocean, in India, a few LHSG India members, Hindu Refugee children in the Adarsh Nagar Refugee Camp in Delhi, heard mewing coming from a rubbish dump, that was being collected by a garbage truck in their area. On looking closer, they found this tiny baby kitten, with his eyes shut tight! So the three sisters, Nandini, Aishwarya, and Anmol brought it home. And you guess what they did after that, right? Not only did they feed him milk with a dropper, they blessed him with Reiki many times a day! And soon they were joined by the other LHSG Reiki children members in the camp!

Do watch the video below which shows it all!

Lotus Healing Seva Group 20 years of Reiki Seva: Part 9

Seva No. 47:

Little trees that were planted 6 months ago, and protected with dry leaves and metal grills from the harsh sun and stray animals, receive Reiki from our India LHSG Youth Group Memebrs, Hindu refugee children, including a little 4 year old Reiki healer! This is happening every day in Jaislamer, in the desert state of Rajasthan, India.

Seva No. 48!

In November 2024, Kenya Members Bhavna, Sonal and I taught Reiki level 1 to about 30 children (10 yrs and over) in Umbrella Childrens Home for orphaned and abandoned children. The children need healing for emotional and physical issues, especially for persistent rash due to ringworm, etc.

Now here comes the wonderful part! These children have been doing self-healing EVERY SINGLE DAY, after supper! But wait! it gets better!! These Reiki healers also give Reiki to the other younger children in the orphanage, EVERYDAY too!! You can guess the outcome, yes?

A message from Boaz, the director / manager of the home: I’m glad to report to you that we do our Reiki every evening after Supper, precisely from 7:30PM to 8:15PM. On ourselves and on the non Reiki children. The kids are doing very well, most of them have improved in their health, their behavior, and in their General Body Presentation in terms of how they look as a first impression. The kids have been completely healed of the rash and infection, apart from two of them, in whom the fungal Infection has recurred. We are still doing reiki on them every evening. We are forever very grateful for Reiki, it is making a difference in the lives of the kids. The cost of medical expenses has also greatly reduced.

This my friend’s is our Umbrella Children’s Home LHSG youth group members seva no. 48!

Seva No. 49

Kamal Tolia: Azmina and I had the wonderful opportunity to give Reiki to 2 cats Molly and Ivy in a Foster home. These cats, especially Molly, have been thru a very rough time. First, Mollys all kittens died. After that, she has been through many foster homes, where she was not treated well. Now they have been with the present foster for 3 months, but will have to be moved yet again, as the carer has to return to the USA.

Ivy hardly took any Healing, but Molly needed a lot of Reiki. Especially in her root chakra (fear). When we started the Reiki, Molly just eyes us both, almost suspiciously, we were even prepared that she might jump at us. . . But as she experienced the Reiki vibrations, she visibly relaxed, settled down to receiving, and . . . when we had finished doing the back chakras, she obligingly turned around onto her back so her front was exposed, and we could do the front chakras!!! It was such classic a response. We couldn’t take a video, as we were both healing!!

As we gave her healing, Molly kept looking back at us, I also kept talking to her, addressing her with endearing words like: hello Molly, u r beautiful, I love u, …..  mostly, I said these in my mind, but I smiled at her quite frequently. ?

We also gave Reiki to the foster carer and her house help.

Please watch the slide show ….  Just look at how relaxed Molly is during the treatment, all stretched out and receiving! I bow down in utter gratitude for this beautiful opportunity that has come my way?

Azmina Mulji: Today’s experience giving reiki to Ivy and Molly was very extraordinary. Both the cats are very beautiful. Molly took a lot of healing and mid-way through she actually rolled over from one side to the other for Reiki and looked very relaxed as the healing progressed. Towards the end she closed her eyes and looked so serene. Ivy took less healing but she was very active and playful. And seemed very happy. The foster carer was very welcoming to being given Reiki and she felt very relaxed after we finished. Her Househelp as well received Reiki and was so relaxed she almost fell asleep. It was an amazing experience and I am deeply grateful to have been given this seva opportunity.
