Seva No 3. Healing Special Children and their Mums and Sisters., 26 Nov. 2011

On Saturday 26^th November 2011, the LHSG Kenya Saturday, Thursday and Youth Groups gathered in Sandeep’s house for the second Seva in the celebratory month of November. And what Seva was that? To give Hands on Reiki healing to mentally and / or physically challenged youngsters and their Mums and sisters.

The visitors arrived at about 3.30 pm. Kamal Tolia introduced the Lotus Healing Seva Group and its activities, and Ela Shah, the wonderful lady who runs the day care for these children in her house, introduced herself and the others. One of the children, Janak, had just had his birthday the day before, and wanted everybody to sing for him, so we all sang ‘Happy Birthday’.

Chairs were arranged in a circle in Sandeep’s lovely, picturesque front yard. After the children and their mums were seated, Lotus Healing Seva Group members went to work in pairs. Some gave Reiki to the children, while others gave healing to the mums and sisters. All took a lot of healing, the children even commenting on how hot the practitioner’s hands felt. Even the Mums said they felt sooooo good and relaxed after the treatment.

Tea and tasty snacks prepared by Sandeep and Clara were served after the treatment. The children had brought chocolates of different flavours which they had made themselves! They shared them with everybody. The chocolates were delicious, and enjoyed by all!

We felt very privileged to be healing these special children, and very humbled to be chosen for this task. So moved were we by this experience, that we wanted to repeat the healing for them on Saturdays and also teach them Reiki so they could heal themselves too. The visitors welcomed these ideas enthusiastically. These plans will be effected in January next year. In the meantime, we have placed them in our healing lists, so they will receive healing every week.

Tejal, Fhanreet, Hardeep, Daksha, Shobhna, Dipti, Shamim, Hita, Ushma, Amita, Sandeep, Clara, Kamlesh, Raj, Nalina, Harleen, Bhavik, Aleena, Simran, and Kamal were the sevaks for this event. Ela Shah and some of the the LHSG members express their feelings here.

Ela …. Dear Kamal Tolia and the Lotus Healing Seva Group, 

On behalf of my special children and their mothers, I would very much like to say a big thank you to all the Saturday group for having us and specially Mrs. Sandeep Bhambra who hosted the session at her place and for the lovely tea….. To us you were like an angel, sent by God above, to cleanse our soul of sadness and stress and fill it with love and relaxation. You were our inspiration and we thank you all for showing us the way to better natural healing abilities….. Your caring concern and the love you showed us, the whole world I would tell, what your friendship, and love means to us. Taking time to help us was a very nice thing to do. I know that you are people who sacrifice for others without thinking. Thank you…. I, Ela Shah would like to share how the first Reiki session helped my two daughters, Anishee and Hirashi that day. They both have disturbed sleep normally but that night they both went to sleep early and they slept throughout till next day 11am. In fact they had to be woken up from their deep sleep. It was like after a very long long time they had a peaceful sleep. It was really amazing…. Rekha, mother of Sarit had also this to say: Both she and her son Sarit had a very peaceful sleep that night, …something they had not experienced for a long, long time! …… Words can’t express the gratitude I feel when I think about what you all have done. I will say thanks for the support and concern and thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us. It has helped us immensely and the spark in us. Thank you

Sandeep …. Happiness always looks small if you hold it in your hands,
but when you learn to share it, you will realize how big and precious it is.
We are grateful that our home was chosen to give healing to those special kids.

Raj …. The gift of doing sewa on the special youngsters was a great bonus. These youngsters were so receptive to Reiki and actually were happy at the end. You could see that some of them were asking for more Reiki on certain parts of their bodies. There was nothing but love flowing from their eyes and how easily they accepted us and called us a family…… I certainly felt very blessed that we were fortunate enough to do this great sewa.

Shobhna ….   I   think  it  was  a  wonderful  opportunity and a very touching  experience    to  offer  seva  on  Saturday  to  the  mentally  and  physically  challenged  children  who  had  come  with  their  mothers. I  salute  the  mothers  who  are  doing  so  much  for  these children  round  the  clock. It  was  a  continuous  flow  of  energy of  love  and  light  going  to  the  Children. I  was  very  happy  to  offer  seva  to  them  and  was  most  impressed  by  Janak (one  of  the  children in  that  group) who  said  his  prayers before  starting  to  have  his  snack  given  to  him  by his mum. Janak  also  invited  myself  and  Tejal  to  go  to  the yacht  club  for  his  birthday  party  and  he  insisted  we  are  all  a  family. I  feel  he  must  have  sensed  the  love  we  showed  him. God  bless  them  all. I  feel  we  should  offer  seva  of  reiki  to  them  on  regular  basis.

Hardeep …. It touches ones heart when one sees these children and how beautiful and innocent they are…..It was an eye opener for me and made me realize that we should constantly thank God instead of complaining about irrelevant things..

Dipti Haria ….. the Saturday Seva was a very gratifying and humbling experience.  There is no better feeling than knowing we have made a positive impact on  these very special children s’ lives.  We should continue helping these wonderful children and giving them Reiki on a continuous basis.

Hita …… I was so pleased that I was given an opportunity to do seva on 26th November. I felt so good and energetic after the seva. It was a special connection with those kids like a family.

Seva: Healing Lake Toronto and Remembrance Day in the month of Nov. 2011

Well I decided I would heal for 15 minutes every Saturday of November.

1. Waters
2. Remembrance Day falling on November 11 a day that marks the anniversary of the official end of the World War I hostilities.  In memory of all Remembrance Day commemorates those who died in armed conflicts, particularly in and since World War I.

It was a feeling of satisfaction to heal all those who died not in World War I but any war or any country where people lost lives fighting to give future generations a better world. And the Reiki flowed through beautifully.

I somewhere feel they are just like us healers who had same intention to make world a better place. It felt so good that though we are in December and our anniversary month is over but I feel good to continue this one.

Again it was wonderful experience healing the waters and adding to Lake Ontario. I did this last year too but that was distant and so was it going to be this year, but your email to try healing bottle of water and adding it to Lake Ontario was  a good idea.

If we could add this intention in our weekly list of ‘healing all those souls who died in armed conflict for justice be healed with love from those who bear the fruits of their sacrifice’ it would be a great Seva.

Seva: Reiki healing to the East River, New York, Nov, 2011

I gave healing to the East River which is a river near my house once a week for 4 weeks in the month of November. I filled a bottle with water from the tap and then went to the River and gave it healing.

I started to do it around 4:30pm and I took the bottle in my hand and gave it Reiki. I drew the symbols on the bottle and on the river and wished it all the positive thoughts such as LOVE, good health, forgiveness and happiness and that it heals and gives positive energy to the people who live around the river and that it stays calm and not increase during bad weather and that it helps the people and not be destructive during weather storms like when we had the hurricane Irene and to give good vibrations to all the rivers that are connected to it. The river connects to the Hudson River and then to the Atlantic Ocean.

When I gave the healing I felt a sense of peace and felt it took a lot of energy. The Reiki went on and would not stop. So after 10 minutes or so I ended it by giving it continuous healing. I finally poured the water into the river chanting “AUM” several times. The water was normally calm after I did this.

Seva: Healing the Arabian Sea, Healing and feeding the poor, and Distant healing, in Nov. 2011

I would like to share all that I did this November to celebrate the 6th anniversary of LHSG. In our busy lives we forget to do Seva. It is this Seva that awakens our faith in the good, and brings Ishwara into our daily life.

With great joy I did Reiki for the waters of the earth. Living near the ocean was very advantageous. Every day for 9days a bootle of the Arabian Sea water was collected by my cooks daughter  and brought home to me. I would give Reiki to it saying mantras (this is my normal way of doing Reiki). Then in the evening, the water was poured back into the ocean. The whole process was repeated the next day. The thoughts that crossed my mind were: 1) I wish that I could gather all the waters and give Reiki to them 2) My mind would be full of hope 3) At times I was floating in a Reiki ocean 4) Through the waters I felt connected to the whole world, that is, a sense of Oneness.

Next I went to a Sai Baba Mandir and fed the poor. First I gave Reiki with mantras to the food and then gave it to the poor. While they were eating I gave them Reiki, at the same time thanking the Lord for giving me the opportunity to do this Seva.

Thirdly I requested the wife of a sick neighbour if I could send him Reiki. Five to six years ago, this same person had refused to take Reiki but this time he readily agreed. (The distance form was used). The first 2days when I gave Reiki the person was lying down, then the next 2days he would come sitting in bed later he came sitting in a chair and on the 6and 7th day he would get up and walk away after the reiki was finished. I take that as a sign that God was telling me that he is healing well.

Lastly (when I finished 8days of Reiki to my neighbour) on the 9th day, I bathed, prepared a sweet as prasad and sat down for my Reiki. When I finished I shared the sweet with as many people as I could. This again invoked a happy joyous feeling of Oneness.
