Reiki Diaries

27th April 2010
My uncle who lives in India, called my Mom and told her that he had gone to see a doctor because he had a very bad back pain.. Eventually an idea came to my head. I asked him that I will do Reiki on him.

I started sending him Reiki for his back. When I was doing this, I kept swaying round and round. I could not control this swaying! This went on for 10 minutes. I did on his backbone. It took 20 minutes! When the heat stopped, I ended with light. I messaged him to ask how he was feeling? He said he felt very good.

I sent Reiki for a month and he has started to feel much better!

2nd May 2010

I shifted my house. Birds used to come to my old house, but not in my new house. I was missing them. So I gave Reiki to the intention that birds should come to my new house. They have started to come and we give them broken rice as food. Their timings are morning, noon and evenings. I am very happy because I see them come and eat.

19th July 2010

I went to a veterinary clinic and gave Reiki to sick animals. I gave to a dog whose front paws had been crushed by a car. It was a small dog with black fur. About fifteen minutes of Reiki, and after that, the dog started scratching my left hand with its front paw. It made me happy to know I had helped the paw get better. It was an enjoyable job.

7th August 2010

I once gave Reiki to a rose flower bud which was dying. It was yellow in colour. I started healing it. Healing took me ten minutes. The healing took me 10 minutes. The next day, it bloomed into a brand new flower from a dying bud! I was really happy for what I had done, It had become a young and healthy plant again. My mother thanked me for what I had done.

12th Sept 2010

I give Reiki to the Healing requests sent by Kamalaunty. The requests are for sickness, situations and blocks. I make sure I do this seva. I feel good after knowing how to heal others. Later when I read that the person has felt better, I feel like I have done good seva.

Now that I am part of the Etheric Lotus Healing Seva Group, I just request healing from the group not only for myself but for others too.

1st Oct 2010

An old friend of mine called Jay Tank changed his behavior completely when he went to a new school. He started to bully and tease the other children. After giving him Reiki for more than two days, he stopped his habits of bullying and teasing others. He started his old habits of being kind and polite. I was very happy!

My first Reiki Experience

When I was playing downstairs I saw a bird on a low tree branch who was only a baby bird. It was trying to fly on its own as her mother was showing it. Then as it tried to flap its wings and fly, it fell down to the ground. And I was watching it, so I decided to send it some Reiki because it just couldn’t get up. As I was sending it Reiki from a distance, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It just started to get up as it got its energy back. I saw it started to flap its wings and it joined its mother to fly with her.

And I went back upstairs, sat down to think about this wonderful experience.

The inter class experience

One day, a Tuesday morning, it was our interclass football tournament. I was made captain and I was told which position everyone would play. When I told this to everyone, they started whining and complaining loudly and my head started to hurt.

So I went under my desk and sent a Reiki energy ball with a thought that all keep quiet. Suddenly everyone stopped the shouting and walked away quietly.

That day I will never forget, it was so cool!

The experience when my aunty was in hospital

It was during the holidays when my aunty fell really sick. I couldn’t see her like that. She was weak, dehydrated and her bones started to curl up. So everyday, for a good 15 minutes I would send her Reiki and she told me she started to feel better and better.

In fact, the day came when she didn’t need to take her hospital medicines. Reiki is so Cool!!

The experience of Me

Every morning I start to sneeze and cough. So I decided to send myself Reiki.

As I kept sending myself Reiki every day, I kept sneezing and coughing less.

One day in the morning, I realized all my hay fever had gone. Hay fever means sneezing and coughing. And I felt so relieved. Because until then, I had never lived one day without sneezing or coughing in the mornings.

LHSG 5th Anniversary Event – LHSG Canada

22 October 2010

Priya just shifted to Toronto, Canada in March this year. Priya has two strapping boys aged 4 and 6. Both she and her husband have full time jobs.  Not knowing many people and still settling down in the country, and juggling a job with being a mom and homemaker, Priya did not have many options to do a grand scale Seva. She settled for a simple healing. Here is her feedback.

Priya Betala:

It was a wonderful experience healing the two intentions I had picked.

  • Healing the Mother Earth axis shift.
  • Lake Ontario healing.

Well to begin with why I picked the above two intentions:

Just when the LHSG 5th Anniversary date was coming near and I was deciding on what to do I was guided to heal the Axis shift. But not very sure where to start from I asked Kamalaunty if LHSG Kenya could start giving healing a week before and if they get any insight I could heal that directly.

Healing Mother Earth is always a part of our healing agenda. Well for the Lake I wanted to go there and heal it but due to bad weather conditions, I had to stay indoors to do it. As we all know healing waters is also a much needed task as we are all 70% water, so is Mother Earth, so it would amount to healing 70% of Mother Earth. And since my house overlooks Lake Ontario, I chose to heal this Lake. Again this is a sweet water lake and the lake water is consumed by many. I have sent in positive thoughts so it purifies all those who partake of it.

Experience:

When I had asked the LHSG (Kenya) to make healing the axis shift a part of their weekly healing agenda so that at least there is no human loss or property loss – I got the feedback that very little healing was going through and I was very happy to hear that as it would mean minimal or no human and property loss.

Then it was my turn as I had picked this intent. When I was healing for 10 minutes a lot of healing did not go through. Then the next obvious question that came to my mind was Why was the healing so little? The answer was LHSG was already healing the Earth’s Consciousness grid every week.

But I could not connect the two immediately and after deep insight understood that both in effect meant the same.

A symbolic shift of Earth axis would mean that consciousness of people would also shift. And that’s exactly what we in LHSG are trying to do, to evolve spiritually not alone but together with all of humanity.

Then it was time to heal Lake Ontario. Though I was supposed to be there physically at the lake side doing this, I knew it should not affect my healing in anyway if I sent healing from my home.

I healed the waters in many ways. The start was with the exercises in SJH level 3 course, and then I was guided on how to spread the unconditional Love and soon within 10 minutes I could see the Lake shiny and bright even though the actual weather on the day was cold and foggy. I sent out this intention to the Universe: Brightness and Happiness comes into the Lives of all those who drink the water of Lake Ontario.

This thought made me very happy and I decided to continue healing Lake Ontario everyday till November 5. In spite of healing the Lake from far, I had a divine experience while doing this seva.

LHSG 5th Anniversary Event – Bangalore, India

22 October 2010

Kala Rao and her husband run a medical clinic in Bangalore. They were going to have a free health camp for hypertension and smokers. Kala, our lone member in India bravely decided to talk to the people about Reiki and our LHSG group, and give them hands on healing. Here is her story:

The free health camp for hypertension and smokers was held at our clinic on Monday 1st November. We had about 12 people who were advised to undergo an ECG since their blood pressure was on the higher side. About 5 were counseled on how to quit smoking and relevant information distributed.

The camp was from 10am to 2.00pm and my contribution was towards Reiki healing to the smokers since I felt no amount of medication can help quit the habit. People are aware about the ill-effects of smoking but find it very difficult to kick the habit. It is the inner strength which is required not to resort to the temptation. They require our support and understanding. We will be having a follow up session next month again.

I gave hands on Reiki healing to each person. The intention of my Reiki healing was to give the smokers the inner strength to quit the habit. Alongside, I enlightened the staff nurses about Reiki and its powers to heal people with positive energy.

I made each person sit in front of me, asked them to close their eyes for a few minutes, recollect whatever the doctor had told them and resolve to quit smoking immediately. I gave Reiki healing to their heart chakra for I believe that’s where the true strength and determination lies.

The experience was truly bliss, it was something I did for my own happiness too. There was a feeling of calmness (in me) after I finished even though a lot of energy was taken (through me). Unfortunately, I couldn’t take any pictures.

LHSG 5th Anniversary Event – Day outing and Healing Lake Naivasha

22 October 2010

Twenty one LHSG members left on a field trip to Lake Naivasha. There was excitement in the air as we left Nairobi early in the morning. By 11 am we were in Simba Lodge Hotel on the shores of Lake Naivasha. After a quick fruit drink, we all gathered on the beautiful lawns of the hotel and waited as Tejal Gohil explained about Holistic Yoga. We were asked to stand in a circle. With Tejal’s guidance, we went through the Yoga Postures which had a bit in common with the traditional Yoga asanas, and yet were different. A lot of fun and laughter ensued when the less fit amongst us could not maintain the posture for more than a second or even do it! A perfect example was when some of us found we could not reach our neighbors hands with ours after crossing our arms across our chest. We complained that our arms were too short, when in actuality we were not able to stretch them well!

The session ended with a beautiful exercise. Each one had to look into the eyes of her neighbor and speak out a positive quality that came to her mind about the neighbor.

Next we walked further up the grounds towards the lake and chose a spot that had many trees around. The energy of the trees was great! Yoga mats / kitenges (Kenyan for cotton colourful cloths) were spread out on the ground and everybody lay down. Kamal Tolia took all through the meditation of the 5 elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air Space). Unfortunately, halfway through the meditation, it started to rain and we could not complete it. No doubt the ‘water element’ was asserting its presence! The meditation was done again later in the afternoon in the covered View Point shed.

After a sumptuous lunch, we gathered in the verandah of the hotel for the ‘Quiz’. Two teams were made: Shiv and Shakti. Questions on Lake Naivasha, Kenya, the Environment, Reiki, Crystal Healing and The Soul’s Journey Home course were put to the teams. If the team did not know the answer, they could still get the points by singing a song! Much fun was had by all, and with each team complaining that the opposite team had been given easy questions, it was decided after much deliberation, that Shakti team actually won by about 2 points!

After this it was time to heal the lake. We trooped down to the lake side and each of us filled a bottle with the lake water. Then we sat down on the ground by the lake. First we tuned into the energy of the lake by being still and simply listening to the sounds of the lake water and the surroundings. When we were sufficiently centred, and could feel ourselves as ONE with the environment, we blessed the lake water in the bottles in our hands. Each one spoke out loudly her blessings …….. Love, Peace, Harmony, Health, Laughter, Compassion, Unconditional Love, Tolerance, … etc. More than 21 blessing were wished in the water. Then we stood up and one by one poured this blessed water into Lake Naivasha, while chanting ‘Om Shanti, Shanti, Shantihi’ (Om, Peace, Peace, Peace). Since the waters of the Earth are connected with each other, we know that our blessings will be spread into all the waters. This was our way of healing Lake Naivasha and healing all of Earth. Even the hippos joined us with a noisy blessing of their own!

After that it was time for tea! Hema Lumb had a nice surprise for us. She had asked the Hotel chef to make a lovely cake with the words ‘Happy 5th Anniversary LHSG’. Daksha Shah and Dee Hockey together with Aleena Rupani, a youth group member, cut the cake and blew out the 5 candles!

It was now 4.30 pm, and time to leave the hotel. We gathered in the bus, and to much singing and laughter, we completed the journey back to Nairobi.
