Kamal Tolia & Lotus Healing Seva Group

On 14 February 2010, LHSG sevaks started free Reiki healing sessions of cancer patients and cancer survivors in the newly opened Cancer Centre in Nairobi.

Four LHSG members, based on a rota system, visit the cancer centre for an hour and a half on wednesdays, to give hands on Reiki to patients. The first 4 treatments are free, after which the patient is expected to make a donation to the centre. The proceeds so collected will be used by the centre to treat patients who can’t afford to pay.

In the 3 months since this voluntary service was started, we have channeled Reiki to more than 12 cancer patients / survivors. The results?  Draw your own conclusions from the following feedback from the patients:

1. ‘I Feel energetic, sleep 7 hours instead of only 4 hours in the past, very relaxing, and no negative thoughts, would recommend it to others! My thanks to the entire Reiki team who are taking the initiative of introducing Reiki to patients like me. I feel I am in another world when I am having a Reiki session. Thanks a million!’

My opinion is that Reiki does wonders for your body and for your mental health in particular …I love Reiki and hope to continue it even after I have recovered….. ’

How many relationships can you have? Do you have a relationship with your a) body b) your mind c) your soul? What can go wrong in a relationship? What makes a successful relationship? What is your relationship with God / Universe/ Higher Intelligence? These were some of the questions that formed the focus of stimulating discussions in The Workshop on Relationships on 5th and 6th Feb. in Dubai.

It was attended by 20 people, male and female. On the first day they were divided into 3 groups and given a questionnaire to answer. After a half hour of internal discussions each team made a presentation of their answers.

Then the workshop was concluded with an in depth talk by Kamal Tolia. It covered the topics: dispensable and indispensable relationships, friction, freedom and Self Growth in relationships, limitations of knowledge and skills of how to handle difficult relationships, relationships with your children, parents, family, friends, employer, employee, God, Understanding and Compassion in relationships, etc.

were some of the comments received at the end of the successful workshop.
