My elderly aunt, Mani Sheth lives with me. Being 95 years old, she suffers from various medical issues. We have nurse aide carers for her day and night.

Because Mani Sheth is a Reiki 3 healer, I often remind her to do Reiki on herself, on her stomach, and eyes, the primary places she needs healing. Also, my 2 house-helps, Cecilia Kaninini and Evalyn Mwongeli are Reaiki 2 healers, so I have often been requesting them to send Mani Aunty Reiki.

Hearing all this, the two nurse carers Grace Wanjiru and Florence Wairimu were intrigued. They asked me what Reiki was. So you know what’s coming next, yes? They got so interested in Reiki, they wanted to learn it.

So, a few weeks ago, I attuned them to Reiki Level 1, taught them to do self-healing, heal others, heal plants, water, medicines, food, etc. I had to spread the teaching over many days, as one nurse reports on duty on one day, the other one the next day, and so on. Also I had to choose times when my aunt was resting and did not need them.

Below is a video which has been posted here with their permission, in which they share their experience and views on Reiki. This is followed by a few comments made on Whatsapp by our LHSG Members which I have copied here.

LHSG 19th Anniversary Events Seva No 11 & 12

Two Reiki Level 1 Training camps for Hindu refugee children and adults in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India.

The first Reiki 1 online training of Reiki level 1 for to 7 Hindu refugees in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India, was done in early November.

Following this, 18 more people, 10 years and over in age in the Hindu refugee camp became interested in learning Reiki, and in a few weeks, the second camp was done. As always the training was conducted over 2 sessions of about 3 hours each. This was done on Sunday 24th November and Sunday 1st December.

I am quite used to teaching online, with its limitations, eg. You can’t see all the trainees, they can only see me on a small screen, our voices don’t always come across clearly, etc. This time too, it was no different. But I had two lovely surprises: I spotted a pregnant woman in one corner of the room, and a little six-year old girl in the opposite corner!

Well, well, well! I thought to myself: I had 21 attunees! 18 + 2 + the baby ! ! !

Gratitude! Gratitude!! Gratitude!!!

Koel, the 8-month pregnant lady was the wife of Ranjharam, the manager of the teaching programs of the refugee place, and Rakhi, the 6 year-old girl was the younger sister of one who had done the training a few weeks ago. She had insisted on learning Reiki, so here she was!

All went well, self-healing, partner healing, and then came the best part where they shared how they were already using Reiki to heal themselves, their family members, animals, blessing food, even giving Reiki to their classmates in school!!! etc. ….

I later explained to Ranjharam that his unborn child was already attuned to Reiki, and will turn out to be a very calm, happy, contented baby!

The whole training was conducted in Hindi, the national language and language of communication in India.

Many, many thanks to Ranjharam for all his help in organizing this training in which he was assisted by Kheraj and Sidre, who also helped in guiding the trainees during the healing sessions.

LHSG 19th Anniversary events Seva No. 10

Umbrella Childrens Home is a home for orphans and abandoned children. It is situated about 30 m from Nairobi. It was our good fortune to be able to help uplift the residents there by empowering them with Reiki.

Accordingly, LHSG Kenya members Bhavna Baga, Sonal Patel and I held a Reiki level 1 Workshop for 30 children and 4 adults, which included Recahb Boaz, the founder of the home. We usually hold these trainings for children 10 years and over, but there were a couple of little 8 and 9 year olds, who simply wanted to learn this ‘new’ method, so they too joined in!

As always, the training was conducted over 2 mornings: 18th and 22nd November. The usual introduction to the Reiki energy, the chakra system, followed by the attunement and then self-healing. The partner healing: made us smile. So absorbed were they in giving and receiving Reiki, that both healer and healee, eyes closed, were like a unit, relaxing into each other! The power of Reiki to heal could not be denied!

After the training, they have all been doing self-healing every day after supper, AND, they have also been giving Reiki to the younger children every day! The result is nothing short of miraculous: The rashes due to ringworm (of many months) have all gone! And no more night crying from the babies and young children, and all of the residents are happier, sleeping better, and stress free!

We give thanks to God and the Universe for giving us this yet another opportunity to reach out to the poor, the marginalized and the abandoned, and to empower them with Reiki. Many thanks go to Recahb Boaz for opening his doors for us to allow us to do the training.

Kids were in such good manners and listened and followed each and every instruction about how to keep hands on chakras and move one to another. They r so interested and eager to know everything. Got also amazing feedback from kids about Reiki experience.

We donated biscuits and milk on the first day and bananas and mangoes on the second day.

The Reiki Principles and all instructions and everything followed by children so well. And while doing partners healing also many doesn’t want to move their hands ..they said still reiki going! Amazing isn’t it!!!!

Amazing part was that on the second day, they had fasted, they were going to eat in the evening after doing prayers! Wonderful isn’t it!!

I feel blessed to have been able to do this camp.

All the children & their founder of the home Boaz, the ‘auntys’ Lucy & Purity were very interested to learn Reiki. I must say all kids were very well behaved & good manners. They followed all instructions & they felt very relaxed , sleepy .

They learned the 5 principles of Reiki & partner healing. They were such a wonderful kids doing it so flexible way & relaxing way did it so nicely even if they want go for bathroom they were so politely asked us . . . I was very impressed. God bless them all!

I also donated ugalli flour (porridge flour)

I feel very blessed to be able to do this seva. Thank you God. Thank you Reiki. Lots of love

Lotus Healing Seva Group continues its celebrations across the world! LHSG UAE in charge Kirtikala Kamdar held a Reiki level 2 Workshop for 3 ladies who had done Reiki level 1 with her previously.

On Sunday 18th November 2024, I conducted a Reiki level 2 on a donation basis. I got 300 AED (10602 Kenya shillings) which I shall be using for charity.

This was a seva towards our LHSGs 19th Anniversary. I had 3 ladies who came to our home. We started at 11.30 am and ended around 4.45 pm.

It was a good experience and they all liked it too. I feel very good whenever I teach Reiki to people because I have an opportunity to add new healers.

There is an exercise in level 2 to do healing to dead people for the soul to go with light or for us to not grieve further. One of the lady’s dad passed on in 2022. She wished to do healing to him. When she mentioned about him, immediately I felt heavy in the room. I got up n lighted sage leaves. They started the healing.

I felt someone came n sat on the chair which was near the window. I stood opposite of that and did healing. I felt a man looking at this lady lovingly. Then i felt he wanted to hug his daughter and then I felt some light go off from the window.

After all finished healing to their respective people, I told this lady about what I felt. Then i asked her to stand up and hugged her and asked her to see if she felt like her dad used to hug. She held me for 5 secs and then cried for some time. She continued to hug me for 2 mins. I asked her what she felt and she said she felt her father hugging her.

Later I did sage smudging in the room and on myself to lighten up the room and to continue the class.

Reiki – The journey within

Reiki, the word was always fascinating for me specially to know how did it work or what was the science behind. Not until the day when I myself learnt and knew it from within, it definitely became a part of my life. Over the years the stress and anxiety that had overburdened is a long gone thing. I feel relaxed and at peace. No doubt Reiki has become a part of my life helping me overcome my fears and find positivity in life. I am extremely thankful to Kirti ji for being my master, to God for showing me the right path and to everyone else who made my Reiki journey a successful one, knowingly or unknowingly. I am highly obliged for teaching me this wonderful healing process. Thank you.
