Reiki Level 1 Camp For Members Of The Lohana Hindu Community

A Reiki level 1 training camp was conducted for a few members of this community, following a request from them. It was conducted over 2.5 hours on two Wednesdays, 9th and 16th August. Eight ladies attended. They were very receptive to this new energy, all reporting some marvelous results.

The LHSG members who conducted this training were Prafulla Ganatra, Monica Gokaldas, Pratima Dutt, Anuradha Nath and Kamal Tolia.

The new healers promised to do Reiki on themselves regularly, and to give healing to their family and friends. They have also started ‘seva’ healing for the elderly in their community that meet in the Vraj Ganga hall on Wednesdays.

Many many thanks to Bharatbhai Thacker, the convener for Vraj Ganga for giving us the permission to carry out our training. Many thanks also to Prafullabhabhi for organizing this camp.

The new healers were very happy with a week of self Reiki experience and generally all of them experienced better sleepand relaxation and some had experiences of less or no aches and pains. The partner healing was well understood and done very nicely by all of them. Everyone did very well with the healing and Prafulla was a big support, as I do not speak Gujarati. They also expressed a desire to learn the second Reiki level so that could send distant healing for family and friends, and agreed to give Reiki to the elderly in their community that come to the Vraj Ganga Hall on Wednesdays. Thank you for this seva opportunity.

All the ladies loved the self-healing and partner healing, and were able to feel the Reiki warmth in their own and their partners’ hands. They were very happy to receive their certificates. I feel blessed to have this opportunity to do this seva with Prafullaji and Monicaji. Thank you very much

Reiki Level 1 and 2 Trainings for girls at the HMGC

The Hawkers Market Girls Centre is a place where young girls come to learn stitching, hairdressing, yoga, and other skills. Our dear Kenya member Shariffa Keshavjee has been running this centre for more than 20 years! And we, Lotus Healing Seva Group have been Reiki associated with it for over 10 years.

And so it is that on the cold morning of 28 July, LHSG Kenya members Monica Gokaldas, Shariffa Keshavjee, Anuradha Nath, and I Kamal Tolia, gathered at the centre at 9.30 am, to teach two groups:

3 girls Reiki Level 1. Monica and Anuradha took them through the the history of Reiki, the five Reiki principles, self healing, healing others, and the benefits of Reiki.

AND

8 girls and their teacher Reiki level 2. Shariffa and I went through the Reiki level 2 content: distant healing, healing relationships, healing souls, programming Reiki, healing the Earth, Reiki box and group healing.

A lovely tasty lunch of vegetable pilao and kachumbari (tomato-onion mix salad) was generously provided by Shahnaz, who runs the canteen at the Centre. A big thank you to her.

The trainings finished at 3 pm at which time they were treated to milk, biscuits and chocolates.

With this camp completed, LHSG has trained 4034 people in Reiki Level 1 and 5171 people in different levels of Reiki, in a total number of 227 Reiki camps worldwide.

Gratitude to God and the Universe for these special opportunities!

A cold Saturday morning was filled with the warmth of Reiki Healing Session for many elderly people from the Asian Community at the Hindu Bhavan, Kusi Lane, Nairobi on 15th July. The Seva event was organized by the Capacity Building directorate of the Hindu Council of Kenya under the leadership of Mrs. Shaina Shah and the able supervision of Mrs. Sujata Kotamraju, the Chairperson of HCK.

LHSG was represented by 11 healers Anuradha Nath, Deepu Mahajan, Fhanreet, Kamal Tolia, Karima Jiwa, Laxmi Velani, Monica Gokaldas, Prafulla Ganatra, Pratima Dutt, Sejal Shah and Sonal Patel. The morning began with the lighting of the lamp and the circle of love prayers which was then followed by an introduction of Reiki by Kamal Tolia. Without wasting any minute of the precious time, the people from various communities came forward to receive the much awaited Reiki Therapy.  As we healers continued giving reiki to people one after the other, non-stop Kamal Tolia continued to keep rest of the elderly occupied by her further info about Reiki, gave them mass healing, answered their queries about the healing, took the feedback of those who had already experienced the therapy and even gave them a brief experience of Forgiveness. It was no surprise to us all as we saw the gleaming faces after the healing and forgiveness.

The session ended with nearly 55 to 60 people having received the reiki therapy within a short span of 2 hours owing to the expertise and seva oriented hearts of the healing friends. After the healing session a sumptuous lunch was served at the premises sponsored by Mr. Mehul Desai who also benefitted from the healing. The LHSG Kenya Group members are grateful to The Hindu Council of Kenya for a well-organized seva opportunity to serve our elderly members and for the honor bestowed upon our Guru Kamal Tolia and myself, Monica by presenting the bouquets and shawls.

How Reiki has helped them and others they sent Reiki to, the 5 principles of Reiki listed below, there is the Divine in all living and non-living things, so all are worthy of our love and respect, these are the topics that featured in our session with our LHSG India member Vikram Lalawani and our Reiki children healers in The Adarsh Nagar Hindu Refugee Camp in Delhi.

LHSG Kenya Member Shariffa Keshavji and LHSG UAE in charge Kirtikala Kamdar joined me in this first interactive session conducted in Hindi, on 11th July 2023.

The 5 principles of Reiki:

Today and Every Day I will be Grateful

Today and Every Day I will not get worry

Today and every day I will not get angry

Today and every day I will live my life honestly

Today and every day I will show love and respect for every living thing (and every non living thing as well!

And, I added, TODAY AND EVERY DAY I WILL DO REIKI!

Below is the video of the session at the end of which we see the children blessing a tree with Reiki and other trees that they had planted the Reiki way and using Hindu Mantras a few months ago in the refugee camp compound.

Love and Light to all!
