Reiki Level 2 Training For Hawkers Market Girls Centre  Girls on 19^th Oct. 2022

I, Punita Acharya was involved in the arrangements of the dates to hold the camp, food, and attunement.

The lunch consisted of chapatti, vegetable stew, and soda. They all appreciated it.

Overall the attunement went very well and the girls were very receptive. The mentioned that they were looking forward to learning level 2. Hence the camp ended on a positive note.

On wed 19^th October we, LHSG held a Reiki level 1 camp for the Hawkers Market Girls Centre.

The camp was very successful. A few students saw colours while they were being attuned and one of them saw flowers. At the end of the self-healing process, many students commented that they started the class while having headache but after completing Reiki on themselves, headaches disappeared and they felt at ease and calm.

They mentioned that they will give Reiki to the elders in their family and also to those pregnant as they see these people suffering in their society.

They were excited to know that they can learn the next level of Reiki in a month or two.

Hands of Compassion

All her business premises gone up in flames! Bhartiben Kanani, a Kenyan lady, of renowned repute, lost everything one night about a month ago, when fire engulfed her business premises. One can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be to lose your life’s work and have only ashes to show for it!

Enter LHSG’s founder member Monica Gokaldas. She heard, she felt, she did …… went to Bhartiben, and as they talked, she gave her ‘silent’ Reiki.

Subsequently she went on another day, and gave her hands on healing ….

Hearts of Compassion

Another seva of compassion was done by LHSG Member Sakina Taki …. who gave of her heart and time with a Reiki touch, to the elderly residents of Salamat Home in Nairobi.

I went to visit Bhartiben and family today.

Their entire shop is destroyed and so are few others in the complex.

Continued giving them healing while talking to them without telling them as I wasn’t sure if they would like it.

At first they tried to put up a brave front but with the silent healing going on, they opened up and the couple took me to their tentative new shop in the same complex and were very emotional. I then told them about Reiki and that our group is sending them healing already and Bhartiben had tears in her eyes as I hugged her. She said to please continue and said she feels blessed to receive Reiki from us.

Salamat Home report

I visited Salamat home for an art session with the elderly on Wednesday 28th September at 2:00pm.

I had 7 members from the home who joined the art session out of which 5 were able to take part in the class and 2 members observed what we did. I started by creating a sacred space around the members and as we ended the class, they repeated the five principles of Reiki after me.

Members from Salamat Home enjoyed the art session and requested if we could do it often.

In 2019, LHSG UK started doing weekly Hands on Reiki healing seva to the devotees that came to the Jalaram Temple, Greenford, London. During covid lockdown, due to public safety in compliance with UK rules, we stopped the seva since February 2020. We have restarted in August 2022, as some people we had been healing regularly, had been asking at the temple for LHSG to return after covid rules relaxed. The devotees are the random public, some of them living alone, who come to the temple for Darshan.

While some of the receivers allowed us to take out their photos, which have been put together in the clip below, they did not want their name published.

So without revealing their names, we share some their healing stories ….

Healing Stories:

Savita Karekar, LHSG UK Member . …….. This client has had a very serious heart surgery a few years ago, has a pace maker, and has other health issues. He had a kidney transplant because his own kidneys were not working. And he has diabetes. His hip is also very painful, he has been recommended to do have a surgery, which he does not want. After the few healing sessions, he said he didn’t bring his support walking stick. He said he feels very relaxed and happy. He looks forward to come and receive the healing. His mum is very pleased with his change as she too was constantly worried about him.

Mala Tolia LHSG UK Member ….. This lovely lady had aching knees, back and shoulders. this was her 3rd Reiki session at the temple and she said that all her aches and pains were 80% better. She was truly grateful for the vast improvement and consequently recommended the healing to everyone she encountered.

• This lady came for healing for the first time at the
  • in 2019. First time she came she was walking with a stick, and she was suffering from knee pain. After a few healing sessions, she stopped using the walking stick and now she can sit in bed with her legs crossed and on the chair as well. She tries not to miss the healing sessions on Thursdays.
  • This lady is suffering from a stiff neck and back. For a few years she could not move her neck as she was in constant pain. After only one hands on healing session, she could move her neck without any pain! And for the first time she could sleep at night without any problem. She comes every Thursday for the healing.
  • This lady came for the first time for her self …. She has a lot of issues, but she remembered how Reiki had helped her husband in 2019. When we re-started the Reiki Seva, in August, she was very happy to get her healing done in person! She was feeling much better after the first session …. So much inner peace and she felt much calmer when she left.
