Mukuru Outreach Academy is a primary school in the Mukuru Sinai Informal settlement of Nairobi, Kenya. Lotus Healing Seva Group has been associated with it for the past 8 years or so. We have been providing education support, in terms of school fees, school benches and desks and books. We have also been Reiki associated with them, …… have been training the teachers, and the children over 10 years in age, in Reiki Level 1 and 2 all these years too! Year in and year out, there have been Reiki graduates from this school, that can heal themselves and others, their situation and send healing for their exams, etc.
This year, quite naturally, the young Reiki healers went step futher: calling their parents to the school on 2 Saturdays and doing hands on Reiki healing for them! This result was overwhelmingly positive! Some of the parents’ reactions have been listed below. and the outcome of these sessions is that the parents too, want to learn Reiki! Ripple effect, no less!
All this would not have been possible without the support of the Headmaster Mr. Enock Obunga and the Deputy Head Teacher Vincent Muema, who bent backwards to make these two seva events a total success. Our gratitude to them both!
On both days, the parents and children Reiki healers were treated to ‘ bread and soda’, a favourite snack. Please read on for Vinvcent’s report followed by the parents’ remarks, and please do watch the videos of both sevas.

On 8th October 2022, The Grade 7 and 8 Reiki Children conducted Reiki to their parents and to the community members too. Our parents and the community members were very happy and glad to go through the exercise and their reports were very positive. Before,the parents confessed that they didn’t believe what their children were telling them about Reiki until Saturday when their own children did Reiki to them. Headaches, stress, body fatigue and different body pains were healed on that very day.
Then on 15th October, the Grades 5 and 6 Reiki Children did the same for their parents, with equally happy resuts!!
The Mukuru Fraternity and I are very grateful to the Lotus Healing and Seva Group for having taught us Reiki from the very beginning we joined this school. Again, on Saturday I was able to give the opportunity and the chance to my learner’s to exercise what I have been teaching them about Reiki. This seva was repeated on Saturday 15th October.
May the Almighty God bless you abundantly and always give you Madam Kamal and L.H.S.G more life to continue helping this young generation and the community.Thank you.

- I was feeling very tired and my head was paining, but after the session i feel better now. Before, at home, my children were always telling me about Reiki but i didnt believe, but today i can testify it is good, after my daughter did it to me.
- * We say Reiki is good to usand also to our children. So i recommend it to be good, since our children can help us at home.
