We Care For The Earth!

Greening the Earth is the dire need of the day.

Lotus Healing Seva (Kenya) Group’s Cooky Vora takes this business of greening the Earth very seriously. She does this by planting trees at every opportunity she gets. She does this in the surroundings of her house and on her street.

Her latest project was to plant trees in a school up the road from her house. With this in mind, three of us LHSG members, Cooky Vora, Monica Gokaldas and I, Kamal Tolia, met on 2nd May 2019 at the Farasi Lane Primary and Secondary School. We were joined by Monica’s daughter Bhavna Gokaldas. It was our wish to show the children how to plant trees the Reiki way and by chanting the peace mantra Aum Shanti Shanti, Shanti and not to forget to ask forgiveness from mother Earth.

With the kind permission of the Head Master Patrick Ounza, we were allotted the children of Form 1 of the secondary school. After explaining to them the importance of planting trees, we divided them into 3 groups, one each for Cooky and myself and Monica and Bhavna together took the 3rd group. We proceeded to plant the 30 trees that had been bought by Cooky and sponsored by LHSG Members.

The trees were planted in different areas around the school. Each tree was named after a student who promised to look after it and bless it every day.

One more good deed done for our Mother Earth!

This is the eighth place in which LHSG Kenya have planted trees, after thrice in Karura Forest, once in Sigiria Forest, twice in Compassionate Hands Centre in Ruia, and once in the SSDS Temple Grounds. In each case we have had 90 – 96 % success rate, which is much higher the usual 60-65% success rate when trees are not planted the Reiki way and as prescribed in our sacred books, the Vedas.

Thank you dear subscribers, for your support in reading and commenting on our posts. If you would like to know how to plant trees ‘the more successful way’ I will be happy to share the method with you.

Our first Lotus Healing Seva Group Perth Seva.

On the 5th May 2019, CINI (Child In Need Institute) had their annual Mothers day high tea.

Our Lotus Healing Seva Group, as in previous years had decided to make and pack the give-away sweet. On 4th morning 5 of us, Dr. Jennie Connaughton, Rima,Leigh, Dorothia and Naz and I Rajunderpal went to the location and packed 250 give-away favours.

We, The Lotus Healing Seva Group Perth members started by giving Reiki to the whole hall, followed by Reiki to the sweets which were bought by LHSG for $325. For the silent action, we gave 2 free sessions of Reiki @ Australian $ 50 each and we donated a painting as well worth $100.  We also paid for the sweets

This year we have managed to sell 43 tickets @$50 each.

We do this every year. The proceeds of the High Tea go to the projects of a Child in Need Institute in Kolkatta, India. In the pictures we have the Indian mothers that enjoyed the tea.

Our efforts were appreciated, as shown in the last picture.

Love, Light and Laughter,

Rajinderpal Walia

Reiki Level 1 Training at TAGS

For the past 7 years, Lotus Healing Seva Group Kenya, has been associated with Talia Agler Girls Shelter (TAGS) in Nairobi. We have been training the girls of this shelter in Reiki as well as sponsoring some of them for their education.

TAGS is a shelter for girls and women that have been trafficked, abused, abandoned and exploited, not only in Kenya but from the neighbouring countries like Uganda, Tanzania, Ethioia and Burundi, to name a few.

On 24th April, our LHSG Kenya member Sheela Shah did the training of 48 girls / women at the shelter. We are so grateful to the Founder and proprietor of TAGS Edith Morogo, for her kind permission and support for this training camp. And as always we give our gratitude to the Universe for making us the instrument to touch the lives of these girls and women with our love and light.

Thank you too, dear subscribers, for your support.

The TAGS Reiki l camp was conducted on 24/4/19, with Punita Acharya, Anuradha Nath, Bhavna Baga, Sonal Patel and I in attendance. There were 48 girls registered and about 10 old girls sat in for a refresher.

There was a bit of a challenge with this group this time as there were about 25 girls/ladies from Burundi with very little understanding of English and Kiswahili. Fortunately one of the older girls, Quinta, graciously agreed to be my interpreter as and when the need arose. The girls grasped the origin of Reiki and the meaning of chakras quite quickly. After attunement was done we moved along to self-healing. It didn’t take long before some of the girls began to get tired and became reluctant to carry on. With gentle persuasion and encouragement, they persevered and completed the exercise. It was wonderful to feel their warm Reiki hands. As the lunch was a bit delayed, I made use of the time to go through the 5 principles of Reiki and also get some feedback of how they felt after the self- healing. A few girls said some aches and pains that they had, had disappeared after the healing. We then took the group pictures after which I let them off for lunch.

Lunch was finally done by 2.00pm and we were able to start our partner healing session. This whole exercise went really well as the girls took their time patiently giving Reiki to their partners. Quite a number of them dozed off as they received the healing. Watching the girls in action was evident that they had understood the chakra positions and also how to place their hands correctly.

Once this partner healing session was done, I congratulated them on how well they had performed. The girls expressed how happy they felt to be able to give healing to another, as this skill made them feel good. Yes, definitely their way of expressing how empowered they felt.

I concluded by touching a little on Reiki ll but emphasised the importance of healing themselves first every day for the next 3 weeks. With assurances that they’ll do so, the girls thanked us and hoped to see us soon.

At this juncture, I give my immense gratitude to Punita, Anuradha, Bhavna and Sonal for their expert assistance that made this camp an enjoyable and rewarding one. Gratitude also as always to Reiki and our Lotus family for all the support and healing that assured another successful camp.

Today, the Faraja Reiki l camp was attended by 15 individuals. They were a mixture of Faraja volunteers, cancer patients and care giverss. After giving some time for at least 10 registered individuals to arrive, we finally started at 9.30am. The introduction to Reiki followed by the functions of the chakras went smoothly with a few questions being asked and answered accordingly. Then attunement was done and just as I was about to wake everyone up, 3 more individuals arrived. They had been delayed by traffic and were very hopeful to join the rest of the group. I quickly made the decision to attune them and after another 10 minutes I woke everyone up. Laveena, who was assisting me today, did a splendid job in quickly summarising the lesson to the late comers that they had missed so they could join the rest of the group in the self-healing exercise. Once the self-healing exercise was done, we broke off for a 15 minutes break. Following break, we did partner healing which went without any hitch. Everyone superbly gave healing to their partners. By 12.50, I was able to go through the 5 Reiki principles and the benefits of Reiki. After answering a few more questions, then group photograph, I was able to wrap up the course by 1.20. All in all everything worked out very well. The participants were happy with their new found skill and looked forward to learn Reiki ll.

I give my humble gratitude for another successful Faraja camp. Last but not least, thank you Laveena for your valuable assistance, making my task that much more easy.
