Mamta Advani of LHSG Kenya, assisted by Pratima Dutt also of LHSG Kenya, taught Reiki level 2 at Faraja Cancer Support Centre, Nairobi. The date was 14th June 2017. It was an intimate gathering, with 7 learners who had done Reiki 1 a few months ago.
Please read on for Mamta’s account and see the pictures that follow.
The Reiki level 2 camp at Faraja was attended by 7 ladies, 3 people from Faraja Cnacer Support Centre and 4 girls from Hawkers Market Girls Centre.
Pratima Dutt and I conducted the camp.
All 7 of them had beautiful experiences to share of how Reiki is helping them to heal themselves and others. They had done Reiki 1 a few months ago. They were eager students who learnt and practiced distant healing well! They learnt the symbols and different methods of sending healing. They happily made their Reiki boxes and sent healing to Mother Earth with all their hearts! I am grateful for this beautiful Sewa opportunity !
Lotus Healing Seva Group Kenya has been conducting the Ho’oponopono Forgiveness Workshop every year since the last 3 years, for cancer patients, cancer survivors, their care givers and volunteers and therapists of Faraja Cancer Support Centre.
This year, the workshop was conducted by LHSG’s Founder Member Monica Gokaldas. Please read on for her account and do watch the pictures that follow. Thank you!
On Wednesday 21st June, Faraja Cancer Support Kenya hosted a Forgiveness Workshop by LHSG at their premises on Sivachi Road, 1st Parklands in Nairobi. The Workshop commenced at 9am with the punctual arrival of most of the attendees (mainly cancer patients and their careers) who had previously registered for the same.
This was my first time to be conducting the Ho’oponopono Workshop for a group of people although I had in the past taught this Hawaiian forgiveness technique to people individually. From the 31 people who participated in the Workshop, some of them were attending for a second time.
The participants were all very interested and could carry out the forgiveness exercises quite well during the practical half of the morning. Some of them were quite interactive and spoke about the various sentiments that they experienced such as “feeling lighter”, “palpitations”, ” sadness” , ” liberated” etc. Some were quite impatient during the first half of the session as they wanted to know the actual technique rather than understanding the reasoning behind the importance of forgiveness.
It was interesting how the very people who were questioning so much before the practice session began actually turned grateful after having done the practice. Towards the end of the session before1 pm Monica Njeri and Deepu Mahajan came forward and spoke about their motivating experiences with Ho’oponopono which further added strength to the faith people were beginning to believe in this art of forgiveness.
I am thankful to Faraja for giving us the opportunity to conduct the workshop, and to Pratima Dutt, Grace Keiru and Shariffa Keshavjee who assisted me for this Seva. Above all I wish to express my gratitude to my Guru, Kamal Tolia for having faith in me that I could conduct the workshop.
The year 2017 has been seeing Lotus Healing Seva Group Kenya on the roll since it began! Hardly had we finished a Reiki 2 camp for HMGC girls on May 2nd, than Reiki 2 camp for the Mukuru people upon us in June!
So on June 21st, Sheela, assisted by Rashmeen, conducted the Reiki camp at the Aga Khan Primary School, Nairobi
Please read on for Sheela’s report and do watch the pictures that follow.
This brings to 2542 the number of people trained in Reiki worldwide!
The Reiki II camp for the Mukuru Outreach Centre was held on 21st June 2017. Assisting me was our ever efficient Rashmeen. The 10 participants that confirmed to attend, turned out to be 7 as 2 ladies got late very late and missed their bus. One of them actually showed up later when we were having lunch. Unfortunately this was too late for me to accommodate her. Along with this group, Elaben, the lady who prepared our lunches for all our camps, was able to join us.
It was wonderful to meet up with everyone again. When asked to share experiences after Reiki I, Mercy shared that her headaches that she used to experience frequently were now a thing of the past as she healed herself with Reiki everyday. Hasborne, another participant, also shared that he was able to relief his wife’s stomach aches with Reiki. Very encouraging experiences.
As we started off learning the symbols, everyone patiently and meticulously drew the symbols and recited them over and over. I noticed that they were able to grasp the drawing and the reciting rather quickly.
Attunement went smoothly and then was followed by self healing and lunch break. As always, everyone enjoyed the vegetable burgers and milk.
The second half of the camp started off well with the participants enthusiastically learning the various methods of distance healing. The “Reiki box” exercise was particularly exciting to them. They were thrilled to be able to give healing to numerous intentions quickly and efficiently.
I was happy to see how keenly everyone paid attention to all the instructions. With minimum difficulty everyone understood the various aspects of distance healing methods. After distributing their certificates, we ended our session by 3pm.
My immense gratitude to Rashmeen for assisting remarkably. Gratitude also to Shariffaji, for providing the venue and Isabel, for preparing the room and opening and closing promptly. Gratitude to my Lotus family for all their best wishes and last but not least, my deep gratitude to Reiki and the universe for this beautiful seva opportunity.
