Another Reiki Camp at Makimei Children’s Home

This was my first time in Makimei. I was looking forward to meet all the children and finding out how Reiki has influenced their lives.

We, Nalina, Nidhi, Priya and I, arrived in good time and were happy to find the children waiting for us.

After all the introductions made, I inquired how Reiki has changed their lives and immediately a show of hands went up. They stated they were able to give themselves Reiki whenever they had a headache, tummy ache, back ache, etc. and were able heal themselves. They were also able to give Reiki to each other whenever it was needed.

It was wonderful to see the children confidently using Reiki in their everyday lives. With this feedback, I too felt confident they will embrace level II with equal vigour.

I was proved correct when most of them were able to graspand to draw the symbols accurately in a short time. They were not at all discouraged.

After attunement, they expertly started healing themselves, placing their hands correctly on the now familiar chakra positions. Slowly but surly we completed the whole healing process.

Right on cue we broke off for lunch which was received well. The number of people (adults and children) that did Reiki 2 were 23, but food was taken for all 60 children and staff of the centre.

After lunch, we went through all the different healing modalities. We sent Reiki to Dennis, a member of the home currently in hospital for nasal corrective surgery. We sent Reiki to different people using all these modalities. The Reiki box exercise was a clear favourite. Everyone was thrilled on the numerous possibilities the Reiki box presented. I also emphasised the power of group healing for all the common needs they had for their home. Since this was the only home and family they knew, all of them felt very connected to each other. It was humbling to see these “family ties”.

Before we knew it, the camp came to an end. With promises to keep up the self healing and the Reiki box healing, good byes were said and we left.

My gratitude to Nalina, Nidhi and  Priya for their valuable support, gratitude for this seva opportunity and gratitude to my Lotus family for all the Reiki sent for a successful camp.

Please watch the pictures that follow.

A Time Out For Girls From Talia Agler Girls Shelter

In keeping with the tradition of celebrating our group’s anniversary with as many Seva opportunities that come our way LHSG members took ten girls from the Talia Agler Girls’ Shelter for their first ever outing trip.

The trip that was taken to Karura Forest had a a lot of significance:

  • The Girls from TAGS were going to have their first ever picnic /outing.
  • The Girls who had earlier been taught Reiki would be joining the LHSG family to do the usual Thursday Healing Meeting for the first time.
  • The LHSG members who had accomplished their Mountain climbing Endeavour a few days ago were to celebrated.
  • The most important part was to be the Tree Planting activity.
  • The TAGS girls would get to have their first formal meal at the River Café sharing their table with LHSG members.

The dedication and unconditional Love of LHSG was very evident as most of the members braved the weather and came prepared to make this event a success.

The happiness on the faces of the girls at getting attention was made verbal by a few of them who decided to be the spokes persons. They narrated their positive experiences of having practiced Reiki and how it had transformed their attitude towards life.

Once the healing was conducted, the mountain climbers among us were honoured. Cooky had brought in a cake to be cut by Bindi, Sheela, and Rashmeen which was relished by us all along with sips of hot tea from the flasks. This also became a time for familiarity between LHSG and the guests before we finally moved towards the deeper part of the forest where we had been allocated an area for tree planting.

The Karura staff had arranged our pre purchased plants and dug the holes. We guided the TAGS girls to first ask forgiveness from Mother Earth for hurting her by digging the hollow, giving Reiki, patting and pulling out the plant from the plastic cover which could be reused by the forest officials for future plantings. Then we led them to give Reiki energy and positive affirmations to the plant, covering up with the soil using our hands and pouring water with cupped hands while chanting OM Shanti.

The atmosphere seemed magical as all of us busy planting the trees in groups of threes and fours. The whole activity was carried out very smoothly with everyone caring for each other and providing support in the muddy terrain which was slippery at some places.  We gave names to our trees and took the responsibility of sending them Reiki healing till they grow up to be of our heights.

The walk back after a brief photo session was very energetic as everyone appeared charged up after the tree planting. We went to the luxurious ambience of The River Café for our lunch where we spread out to sit  in a manner that we all got to interact with the young ladies of TAGS as the day was dedicated to them. They spoke about their many firsts on the day and said that they were very happy to have sisters in LHSG who had shared their unconditional love with them.

The girls were quick to learn the Table etiquette once guided and enjoyed the lunch thoroughly. They spoke about how they felt special at being treated as an equal, at finally having visited the Karura Forest, at planting trees, at enjoying the vastness of nature and learning of its significance. Some were shy to begin with but gradually felt like family members and opened up to relate their stories of their background and their likes and dislikes. I felt very grateful at listening to them and like always thought about how much we take for granted and realize it only when we see the appreciation coming from others.

The girls gave us happy hugs and said they didn’t want to be separated from us as we left in the afternoon after gifting them the giveaway bags consisting of cosmetics and jewelry etc. contributed by members and carefully packed by Cooky.

The story is told in the pictures and videos below ….

Crystal Seeding Seva

What happens when you charge a Crystal with positive qualities, affirmations and Ho’oponopono … and give it Reiki? What if you do this for 2 weeks and then bury this charged crystal in the ground or slip it into a water body? Further, what if you do this on a Full Moon Day / night?

The intentions put in the crystals are received by the Water Crystals and the Earth Crystals through the Crystalline Grids inside Mother Earth and her Waters! The energy of the Full Moon enhances these energies millions of times! And all those that live and breathe inside and on Mother Earth, automatically receive these very same vibrations through their electromagnetic field.

This is the principle that LHSG Kenya External members Tejal, Vaishali and Fhanreet had in mind when they proposed to do a worldwide Crystal Seeding Seva for LHSG’s 11th Anniversary.

The programming of the crystals with positive thoughts and affirmations was started on 6th November and continued everyday till 14th November, the day of the Super Full Moon, when the Moon was closest to the Earth since the last 70 years! With the magnified energies of the Super Full Moon also charging the seeded crystals, the whole crystalline grid lit up with the Love and Light of the intentions.

One Hundred and eleven people took part in this Seva, mostly LHSG members in different parts of the world, and some nonmembers. Crystals of Clear Quartz, Rose Quartz, Fluorite, Malachite, Citrine to name a few were used in this Seva for seeding in in Kenya, Tanzania, India, Australia, Canada, Qatar, UAE, USA, UK, Austria, Mauritius, South Africa, and Fiji Islands. Those that didn’t have crystals used pebbles instead. They were buried in the Earth in gardens, in plant pots, in public places, and put into streams and rivers. The LHSG Kenya Thursday group consisting of Bindi, Sheela, Rashmeen and Gauri buried their crystals in the soil of Lenana Peak of Mount Kenya and other people did the same in the soil of the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania!

Thank you to all who took part in this Seva. It is our belief that we have helped raising teh vibrations of all sentient beings!

Please read on for some of the members’ notes and do see the pictures of the world wide crystal seeding and the video clips that follow

It was amazing to see how my son daily would sit ,, what he loved doing was infusing all his desires that he has in the stone . Lol

Thank you very much for creating this sewa opportunity

I did my crystal seeding at the river Thames in Richmond, London, UK

I charged the crystal again today, 14th November and carried out my affirmations etc then asked the water if it was ok to place the charged crystal in its body

I got a hearty yes and as I placed the crystal in the water, I saw the entire river turn a beautiful sky blue and crystalline.

This spread to all the water in the UK, then the North Sea and  all the waters of the world and all of mother earth.

After 10 minutes, there was a very calm and light atmosphere all around

Amen
