Umbrella Children’s Home in Ruiru had acquired a new plot of land to move into. It is a barren place, very much in need of trees and greenery.
Lotus Healing Seva Group was ready! Together with our more than 40 Reiki children there and Boaz, the Proprieter, manager and their ‘Dad’, we proceeded to do the needful on 10 April.
We planted 8 trees: 2 avocado, 2 mango, to Thika Palm and 2 Cypress trees. The Seva was done by LHSG Kenya Members Sonal Patel, Bhavna Baga and I, Kamal Tolia. First I went through the steps of planting the LHSG Way, with Reiki and Hindu Mantras. The children were very very smart! They understood the steps in a jiffy, and straightaway said the mantras perfectly!!
Then I proceeded with the practical of planting a Thika Palm Tree with them, after which Sonal and Bhavna proceeded with their group of children to plant the remaining trees. The whole exercise took about 1.5 hours, at the end of which we had 8 beautiful trees gracing the plot, which in time to come, will bless the place with their beauty, flowers and fruits, not to forget their shade and the oxygen they will breathe out!

Boaz had kept everything ready … the holes for the trees, the trees next to the holes, Reiki blessed water, and all of us happily planted the trees!
