LHSG Gives Warmth To Orphaned and Abandoned Children

LHSG has been associated with The Makimei Children’s Home for orphaned and abandoned children since the last few months. A couple of months ago, we taught the management and workers Reiki, followed by a Reiki camp for the children 2 weeks ago.

Our member Srinidhi has been in touch with Mama Margaret and Rachel of the home.

Following requests from the home to send Reiki to their babies and children …. Srinidhi called them up …. “I was discussing with Rachel on the increase in the number of pneumonia cases at Makimei children home and she mentioned that it is extremely cold there and they would need 27 more blankets… “

Srinidhi continues … ‘My husband Bharat Rao and I went on to check with a wholesaler Mr. Shah of Blatex Company for the superior quality blanket  60x 90 size with satin tape on both sides., but then later we settled for a 70 × 90 size blanket. We thought it would be better to give them the bigger size such that they can double it up when it is too cold. ……..’

And so it is that on Saturday 3rd September, Srinidhai and Bharat Rao went to the home to donate the blankets and to give the new Reiki Healers (children) their Reiki certificates.

A Thank you from LHSG to members Priya, Srinidhi, Anuradha, Pratima and to Bharat Rao for their generosity in contributing to the cost of the blankets which was Sh 25,500/= (approx.. US $ 255) and a big thank you to Srinidhi for seeing this through!

    Blankets that fold in warmth
Came in timely to spread themselves
Over and under the young and little
How lovely to see their eyes twinkle
With joy not of mere getting gifts
    But knowing that someone cares
    For their existence, their Welfare
In a world full of self sustenance
Their is Nidhi and the LHSG
Out there for them, with them
To offer an abundance of love
To wipe the grime on their life stair.

Thank you Shrinidhi for bringing these children into our fold. Being part of reaching out, knowing that the benefit goes directly to the recipients is a great source of comfort. It encourages us to do more for this Centre. Thank you LHSG for being the conduit for such unconditional seva.
our appreciation to Bharat for his support.
