This is the motto of our youngest members …. 12 year old Khushi and and 11 1/2 year old Arya. These two young ladies trained in Reiki level 1 in their July summer holidays just gone by. After that, they wasted no time in quickly became our youngest members of Lotus Healing Seva Youth Group by volunteering to give healing to Cancer patients at the Faraja Cancer Support Centre in Nairobi. So dedicated were they that they did not miss a single Wednesday of their vacation to share their love and light with the sick.
They are back in school now, so cannot continue the seva, but both have vowed to return to show their compassion for the cancer patients during the next school holidays. Lotus Healing Seva Group salutes these young ladies for their exemplary Seva Bhav (Sanskrit for deep wish to do selfless service)!
Way to go, Arya and Khushi!

I completed my Reiki 1 Course with Kamal Aunty in the holidays. Doing the course made me open my eyes to a lot of new experiences, feelings and emotions. Reiki has helped me in many ways and has taught me how to heal myself, people, plants and even things.
After I did the course, Kamal aunty suggested if we could go to Faraja and heal the cancer patients. At the centre I saw pain flowing through the patients. I also witnessed how powerful Reiki was to the patients. We even went to heal the cancer patients who were receiving chemotherapy. School began, so I could not continue going to Faraja. But I learnt Reiki level 2 and I send Reiki to the patients.
During the holidays I want to continue doing Seva and help people using Reiki.
I would like to thank Kamal Aunty, my friend Khushi, Heena aunty, and all other aunties of Lotus Healing Seva Group who helped me start this journey.

Before I begin to write about my experience at Faraja Cancer care, I would like to offer my gratitude to my Guru Kamal aunty for teaching me Reiki with a lot of love aqnd for allowing me to do seva at Faraja Cancer care.
My first day at Faraja was when I had just finished my Reiki level 1. I was a little scared and nervous as this was my first time, but as the other healers came, they made me comfortable and part of them
My first experience of healing was under the guidance our leader Punita aunty. She guided my friend Arya and I through our session and made sure we did not feel lost.
When I started giving Reiki to the cancer patient, I really felt good and felt from my heart that I was doing a good deed by helping someone who is in pain and fighting a disease. From that time I decided that in every holiday, on Wednesdays, I will go to do seva at faraja.
Each and every member of the Lotus Healing Seva Group has encouraged me and taught me how to give love and light to each and every patient that comes for healing. The group memebrs are very organized and they make the best effort to make every patient feel very comfortable and relaxed. I was overwhelmed to see how dedicated and calm each member of the LHSG was while giving heaingl to each and every patient.
In the chemotherapy room where patients were receiving chemotherapy, we sent them distant healing to make them feel at ease.
Basically my whole experience at Faraja cancer care centre was amazing. I don’t even have the words to describe how wonderful it was. I feel I want to do more and more seva as I continue grow.
I would once again like to thank Kamal aunty and all the members of Lotua Healing seva Group for allowing me to this beautiful seva,
