‘Soul Reflections’ Book Launch ….

On 10th July, the Lotus Healing Seva Thursday Group met in Monica’s house to celebrate the launch of Kamal Tolia’s Book “Soul Reflections”

The healing was done as normal from 10 – 11.30 am. This was followed by Kamal giving a brief summary of how the book came about, what is involved in getting a book published and printed … getting the isbn number, the international bar code, the copyright status, and the legal endorsement. Next, with the help of Monica, the book’s ribbon was cut and it was unwrapped. Monica and Kamal held it up amid clapping from all. One of our senior members Kamlesh Giddie presented a bouquet of flowers to Kamal. A cake was brought and cut amid the chanting of ‘Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu, Gurur Devo Maheshwara …..’.

Hugging and congratulations followed and the signing and handing of the copies of the book. In her speech, Kamal thanked Monica who had envisaged the idea of the book in the first place, and all who had come for the launch. Said she ‘I do not need this pomp and glory, this admiration, etc. But just as it is tragic if you have no one to share your sorrow with, it is equally tragic when you have no one to share your joy with …. I feel so blessed to have you all with me, sharing my moment of joy with me ….. Till today, I had only existed … from now on, I will live …..’

Lunch, which was a wonderful mixture of delicacies brought by the members was then served and enjoyed by all.

I am grateful to the universe for materializing my dream of Kamal publishing a book finally. My joy knows no bounds at such happenings as I know this book ” Soul Reflections”, will bring about a revolution of thoughts in many minds.

Lata Kanji had said that this book will be a very good Diwali Gift this year. I second that thought as Diwali is a celebration of victory of Light over Darkness and this book will prove to be a catalyst in bringing the Love and Light quotient in it’s readers.

I wish and pray the book to reach as many people who need an upliftment from the dogmas of mundane life rituals towards a better understanding of life, culture, happiness, love, faith, relationships and many hidden meanings behind our actions.
