Lotus Healing Sewa group conducted Reiki level 2 camp on 7th May 2015.
We had 9 girls from Hawkers Market Girls Centre and 3 ladies from Ruai. The volunteers for Sewa were Sheila, Dee , Pooja and myself, Mamta.
The students were all looking forward to learning Reiki level 2. They got the symbols in no time and were attuned after that . While sharing their experiences they said that they felt a light pass through their body,some felt warm and some felt cold .They all felt relaxed. This was followed by self – healing and the juice and biscuits break.
Then they moved on to learning distant healing with the powerful symbols. The Reiki Box was pretty exciting session , followed by lunch -which we all enjoyed!
Lastly we made a circle and did healing for mother Earth. They experienced the power in numbers! Together we sent healing to all their Reiki envelopes and to other issues of Kenya and the whole world.
We ended with the girls singing and dancing happily to the “banana song “.
They expressed their gratitude and Anne from Ruai said that “now it will be so much easier to send reiki to the children “.She runs a home called ‘compassionate hands ‘ for special needs children at Ruai .
We left feeling grateful and with a feeling of deep contentment in our hearts which only Sewa can bring!
