Lotus Healing Seva (Kenya) Group did its first hands on Reiki Healing seva for this year on 12th April 2023. The venue was the Vraj Ganga hall at the Lohana Community Centre in Nairobi. The elderly in the Lohana community in their 60’s, 70’s 80’s and even 90’s meets there every Wednesday for community activities.
We started with a brief introduction of Reiki and Lotus Healing Seva Group’s activities. Then, right there in the hall, we went to the ones who wished to receive Reiki, and got down to business! As the healees received, the rest of the members sang Hanuman Chalisa and Gayatri Mantra, and other bhajans which not only created a beautiful ambience, but also promoted the Reiki healing by enhancing the vibrations!
The whole event was possible due to the continuous efforts of our former member Prafulla Ganatra. Our sincere gratitude to her and to Bharatbhai, the convener of the Vraj Ganga activities.
The Reiki healing was followed by a sumptuous lunch sponsored by Prafulla Ganatra and family.
The sevaks that did this seva were Baiju Vora, Mamta Advani, Monica Gokaldas and I, Kamal Tolia.

The gift of Reiki to young students is a life long gift. Over the holiday season for many faiths it is a time for giving. It is in the gift of Reiki that that the giver and recipient become one an that is very special.
