International Mother Earth Day Reiki Celebrations 2

Our Second Collective celebration of International Mother Earth Day happened a little far away, across the Indian Ocean, in a refugee camp in Delhi, India. Here we have 36 children in a Hindu Refugee camp, that were guided to do seva by our India LHSG Member Vikram Lalwani, their teacher. These children are also Reiki level 1 healers!

The celebrations were three fold:

  1. They planted 55 fruit trees that had been sponsored by LHSG members worldwide, around their homes in their refugee camp. They did this following the Reiki method: Asking forgiveness from mother Earth for hurting her as we dig the hole, chanting Aum Shanti as we place the plant in the soil and as we water it, blessing the tree with Reiki and affirmations, and ending with the Mantra Vraksh Rakshati, Rakshitaha, which means ‘you look after the tree, and the tree will look after you’. Then every day, they Reiki charge the water before u it on the tree.
  2. They spent a day cleaning the surroundings of their classroom and their homes in the camp, and pledged to continue keeping them clean.
  3. They watched a video teaching them the importance of Mother Earth Day. They gave Reiki to the beautiful picture created by our LHSG Kenya member Bhavna, and pledged to give it Reiki every day, so promoting all the messages in the picture, of save water, stop pollution, grow plants, no to plastic, save energy, save animals, recycle, do not litter, and of course, ask forgiveness from Mother Earth.

A very big gratitude to Vikram, who singlehandedly did these sevas with the children, and to Hariomji who is the general manager of the refugee camp, for buying all the trees, transporting them to the camp and for taking out all the tree planting videos.

All these sevas have been captured in the video below. Even if you do not know Hindi, the videos show and tell it all. Please watch it. It gives us hope. Hope for our mother earth and for all of us!
