The LHSG Kenya have been associated with Compassionate Hands Centre for the Physically and Mentally Disabled in Ruai since the past 4 years. We have been making donations of food and clothing to them, planting trees in their compound, sponsoring some of the children for school education AND, more importantly, we have been empowering Anne Njeri, the head of the centre, the workers and volunteers there, and the more able children with the healing power of Reiki level 1 and level 2.
Here is a letter of appreciation and gratitude from Kirk Muricho, who is a volunteer at the centre and who helps the children learn basic computer skills.

When little angels once neglected
Now have the care and love of healing hands
What more can LHSG ask.
Trees to shade them and constant care
We are blessed and so are they
May we always be there for them
The life is touched by tender care
with Reiki under LHSG’s soft glare
The special children of God Himself
learnt to touch and heal themself
Lesson so pure imparted to them
give back to society is taught to them
heal thyself and those around you
enjoy the shade of the trees that grew
Their wellness speaks volumes of faith
